I started as an editor out of a love for books and the written word (I just can't write it myself). One of the things that always bugs me is when I read something that is poor in grammar, punctuation, spelling or style. My pet peeve is spelling. I left my last job in an office and decided to do something I wanted to do. Since I can't write, I edit. I love nothing better that to help an author polish their work so it shines. I get immense satisfaction from working with words and their authors. I also contribute novel and short story reviews to Erotic Escapades.
I'm a wife, mother and new grandmother, so being at home to work is perfect for me. I am going to college for an Associate Degree in Communications and will continue from there to a Bachelors degree.
I edit on a freelance basis for several book companies, I also do proofing and formatting. I have reasonable rates, depending on what you need, I work by the word, page or one price for a whole job.
