A Little About Wawenoc G. S.

Although our name has changed, we continue to be the small, friendly, informal group established in 2001, founded and hosted by Betsy Paradis at the excellent Belfast Free Library facility.  We have no formal member lists, only a mailing/email list of about thirty names. Typically we have about fifteen attendees. We ask for a voluntary annual dues payment of $5 to cover postage and refreshments. Except for field trips, we serve refreshments at the end of each meeting. Our attendees' residences range from eastern Knox to coastal and interior Waldo county towns.  We favor local speakers, but strive to mix them with outside speakers when possible. Volunteer speakers are encouraged !

Wawenoc Genealogical Society Meetings

We meet on the third Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Belfast Free Library (106 High Street, Belfast ME) in the 3rd floor Reference/Special Collections meeting room, unless otherwise notified.  Please email or write to any of the contacts listed below so we can add you to the meeting notice list. We send out a broadside as a reminder a few days before meetings.  Each program at BFL is followed by a time for sharing information and refreshments, ending at 4:00 PM.  All are welcome!!
