Young Irelanders RFB Newry

Newry has a long proud tradition with Republican Bands dating back to the 60s when the Wolfetone band was going. This band played its last song in the 80s and from then quite a few bands have emerged from Newry.

The Young Irelanders RFB are a Republican flute band from Newry. We take Part in Numerous commemorations and parades throughout the year to honour the Volunteers of the Irish Republican Army.

We were formed in November 04 by former members of the old Laochra Na hEireann RFB who felt the need for a Republican Flute Band in an area such as Newry.

Over the past 3 years the band has gone from strength to strength and are now recognised at Republican events all over Ireland.
