Hey! Welcome to my web site for us young folk lovers in the North West! I started this site for one very simple reason - a distinct lack of young folkies in my area! Now, don't get me wrong, there are thousands of us out there, but no-one seemed to originate from the North West region. So, I thought I'd set up this site, and see if I could find you all! Are you out there?!?

From this site, I'd like people to be able to find other teenagers in this area to meet up with, play sessions with, and who knows how many Morris sides we could end up with!! It would be nice if this could develop into a group of like-minded people, who could meet up at festivals and stuff like that.

Now, who knows, this could just flop. I may well be the only young folkie in the North West, and in that case, i will have to look further afield, but let's hope that won't happen! This will probably seem very amateurish to begin with, but once the ball is rolling it could be huuuge!

Hey! If you've just found the site, well done! If you've come back for another look - good for you! You will notice that I have messed about a bit with the organisation of the site, but bear with me, I'll work out how to work this thing soon enough!

I have been astonished by the number of people that have been looking at the site - I honestly did not expect this much interest! This has prompted me to really start thinking about doing this thing "for real". I was thinking about putting the web address into a local folk magazine such as "Shreds and Patches" or "Folk Orbit" to get it spread about a bit more. What would be a big help would be if you could spread the word a bit for me - just to people you think might be interested.

What I will do as soon as possible is to put a guest book on the site. This way, people who find the site can say what they think of the whole idea. I was thinking that I could just use details from that to put up on the site, but I don't want to put anything up that people don't want me to. By e-mailing your details to me, I know that you are agreeing for them to be published on the site, so that other young folkies in your area can get in touch with you.
