Idea brought up that we posssibly not dancing next year, for Competition because of lack of interest. Possibly not dancing under Young Bunch and merging with another club and dancing under them.

Next year we're doing Western Days for Ford Middle School. We're in charge of line dances, square dances and all fun at that dance.

September 14th Meeting

Call to order 8:07pm
Roll call - President Kim, Treasurer Sharon, Secretary Caity

Old business- No old business as we haven't had a 'meeting' since the old board and no minutes were to be found.
New business - Firework stand
At the firework stand we made a rough estimate of $2957.00 after all expenses for renting the credit card machine, buy water, buying paper for machine, buying new cash register, etc.
Discussion of actually doing the stand next year. Each family HAS to take ownership and help with the stand. We need to make a commitee of adults, or a chair person to delegate people into having time at the stand, even if it means taking a vacation day off from work.
We need 2 people to cover roughly 288 hours of working the stand, not including night shift.
Sharon's idea was to have a 'family adopt a day' where say the Sebree's would 'adopt' a day and have all their friends and relatives help at the stand, anyone who could. That way we're not burning all our own 'energy' and still having the stand.
Motion to continue the stand passed.
Motion to make 'captain of stand' by Kevin. 2nd by Caity
We also need to get all the missing supplies together: Sheriff policeman cookie jar, Grey tote that has lots of things inside for the kitchen, Plastic sign for the front table that has the prices, Blacklights, Adding machine and more, if you've seen these please contact Kim or Sharon and we'll rectify the lost items

Mark took 2 slips from the September 9th dance home to see if they'd fit Jennie, and they do. They are just going to keep the slips and pay for the next 3 ads for the Promenade.

From all the clothes we've put down in the Sumner shop and selling at our dances we've made roughly $191.00

Discussion about having a 6 month $1000.00 cd bought by the club to mature by the time Competition season comes 'round. Issue tabled until we get more information from Sharon

We need 3 chair persons who are willing to take ownership in the club over these three events:
Competition chair
Fair
and Fundraiser

Discussion about doing the Footnotes dance in February
If we do so, we are in charge of Snacks, decorations and split the pot.
Motion to take charge of the Footnotes dance: Passed

We need to vote on what theme we want for next year's Competition in October. Here are the choices:
Christmas in May
Top Hats & Glitter
Pink & Blue Camo
White Madness

Motion to have badge dance on our December dance passed :)

We are having meetings on the 1st Thursday of EACH month at Ford Middle School after lessons

Meeting closed at 9:01pm

That's all I have. Thanks to everyone that came and gave their opinions about Comp stuff and the Footnotes dance.
