Although the site started as a history of Yorkshire Main Colliery where myself and generations of my family before me have worked, it is now obvious that it has become much more than a Yorkshire Main site. Regardless of this I decided to leave the name of the site as 'Yorkshire Main' as the site has become more popular than I could have ever have imagined from the start and it would now be difficult to change the name at this point.
The amount of information I receive from all the Yorkshire Collieries continues to grow, thanks to people young and old, remember a small bit of information or photograph that means nothing to you could mean everything to someone else, so please continue to send these to me from any colliery. Also please remember to check the pages regularly as I not only add new pages but I update the pages already on the site with new information as and when I receive it.
Please don't forget to send me feed back on the site and sign the guest book for others to see, would you also please let me know if you spot any wrong information on the site, misplaced pictures or pages that are slow to load.
