The next section covers the Bullcroft colliery at carcroft near Doncaster which merged with Brodsworth colliery underground in 1970. The shafts where sunk to the Barnsley seam in 1911 and work completed on the shafts in 1912 with the help of German engineers who used a freezing process to hold back the water in the shafts while they where being sunk.
