The concrete cones now standing on top of the No2 shaft and the No1 shaft.
One of only a few things that remain of the colliery are the pit gates at the side of the managers houses. Thanks to AJW for the picture.
Thanks to Mandy who sent me the picture of the remembrance souvenir from the Bentley pit disaster of 1931, It shows all of the names of the men who lost there lives in the disaster plus messages from the King and Queen and the prime minister of the time, It is printed on very thin paper, if anyone knows any history of the souvenir, ie, who they were given out to or when they were given out please let me know.
