HULL TRAINS GETS NEW 125mph TRAINS

Hull trains "pioneers" are now in service.

These units are based on the Midland Mainline Class 222

PEAK RESTORATION NEWS

The sole class 46 no.035 is undergoing overhaul to all components, this work is underway at LNWR workshops at Leeds.

The locomotive has all of its name plates and the rust and holes been repaired, It is not known at this time that the locomotive will retain its name plates. It will retain BR blue livery which will be reapplied when the major work is complete.

The locomotive is to be re-registered to run on NR metals and it is to run charter duties.

The class 46 overhaul has been put on hold while the Freightliner Class 57's are to have bogie changes, this work will finish next September.

The class 46 is expected to finish its overhaul middle of 2005.
