The Yoga Room Studio

I developed an interest in yoga many years ago as a way to combat stress and to exercise my body and mind.

I decided to embark on my teacher training after taking yoga classes soon after my first child was born.

 I received my yoga teacher theory and practical training from Satyaram Yoga & Reflexology Clinic in Toronto, Ontario and received the title of Yoga Siromani. I also undertook post graduate studies in holistic nutrition and stress and wellness management.  My children's yoga teacher training I received is from two internationally acclaimed children yoga teacher training     programs: Radiant Child Yoga and Yoga Kids.

Throughout the years I have had the fortunate opportunity to study and train with some of the most respected yoga teachers in North America such as Beryl Bender Birch, Seane Corne, Doug Swenson, Mark Finch, Natasha Rizopoulos, Susi Hately Aldous and Leslie Kaminoff.

My personal approach to teaching is based on the traditional form of Hatha yoga which is firmly based on proper alignment, breath, anatomy and physiology of the body. My teaching style has been greatly influenced by Iyengar, Astanga and Vinyasa traditions which has merged into a dynamic style of Hatha Flow Yoga.

This year I have been extremely and honoured and blessed to bring to Canada, a truly wonderful program, Street Yoga - Canada,  that encapsulates the meaning of "karma yoga" or "to serve the needs of others" through teaching yoga, mindful breathing and compassionate communication to youth at-risk.

My hope is that you will come to enjoy yoga and all its amazing benefits through my teaching and that I will help you realize the potential that lies in each one of us......
