Ystrad Mynach Shotokan Karate Club was founded in September 1991.
At the outset we trained at a local Ystrad Mynach boys and girls club in the village. In 1995 we moved our dojo to a larger hall in the village, The Holy Trinity Church Hall where we still train today.
The club was founded by John Davis, Tracy Collins and Kelvin Price.
Club Sensei is Kelvin Price 3rd Dan. Assisted by Tracy Collins 2nd Dan, Hannah Vivian 2nd Dan, Karl Lemmon 2nd Dan, Robert Dowler 2nd Dan and Dean Acreman 2nd Dan.
