Our Imperium. Hon. Rev Ruthann Amarteifio.
REV. RUTHANN AMARTEIFIO, HPS
Arch Priestess Ruthann Amarteifio is the sixth member of the Correllian Council of Elders.
Lady Ruthann is also Grand Deemstress in charge of the approval of new Temples.
As Grand Deemstress Lady Ruthann oversees the process by which Witan Shrines are approved as Temples. This takes place (usually) at the Lustration festivals, which occur twice yearly.
Lady Ruthann is the Head of Akasha Temple and also Temple of the Lake. She is also currently Chief Priestess of Selu Temple in Hoopeston, a position she accepted in Year 3 Aquarius (2003 AD).
Lady Ruthann has had a long and eventful career in the Chicago Pagan community.
Lady Ruthann first entered the Chicago Pagan community in the mid 1580s Pisces (1980s AD). She received her initial training through the Temple of Panthea, a well respected Chicago area Temple. The Temple of Panthea would later affiliate with the Unitarian Church to become the nation's first Pagan Unitarian congregation.
In 1588 Pisces (1988 AD) Lady Ruthann left the Temple of Panthea to found Akasha Temple. The Temple of Akasha began as an independent Temple, but later entered the Correllian Tradition after several years of alliance and mutual projects.
Lady Ruthann first became involved with the Correllian Tradition through the Chicago Pagan Leadership Conferences, sponsored by the Pagan Interfaith Embassy in 1594 Pisces (1994 AD) in the wake of the Parliament of the World's Religions which had been held in Chicago the year before.
The Pagan Interfaith Embassy, headed by Rev. Ed Hubbard, First Director of the Correllian Tradition, sponsored three Chicago Pagan Leadership events in '94 -in January, March, and the last in September. The events were a great success and served to bring the community together and foster greater communication between Temples.
After September of '94 the Chicago Pagan Leadership Conference became a separate organization no longer connected to the Pagan Interfaith Embassy. The new organization incorporated, elected officers, and went its own way. Less successful as an organization than as a series of events, the Chicago Pagan Leadership Conference ceased to exist within a few years. But the original Pagan Leadership Conference events which the Embassy sponsored created a great deal of movement in the Chicago Pagan community. Many new events began at this time, some of which are still going forward.
One of the most successful events was the Pagan Social Night, founded in '94. The Pagan Social Night allowed the city's Pagans a chance to meet and socialize in a low-pressure, non-ritual setting. For several years the Pagan Social nights, co-hosted first by Lady Ruthann and Brian Chelton, and later by Lady Ruthann and Rev. Bill Erbacher, were a major center of Chicago Pagan society.
Also in '94 Lady Ruthann joined with the Pagan Interfaith Embassy to sponsor the first Chicago Witches Ball -a Samhain ritual and Halloween party which has become a Chicago Pagan institution.
In 1595 Pisces (1995 AD) Lady Ruthann joined with Heads of several other Chicago Temples (including the Correllian Holy City Temple) to form AHAIC (the All-Inclusive Ad Hoc Committee) for the purpose of holding public ritual on the shores of Lake Michigan. The AHAIC was later chartered as a Correllian Temple, with the new name of the Temple of the Lake, which continued to hold rituals on the shores of Lake Michigan for several years.
In 1596 Pisces (1996 AD) Lady Ruthann was elected president of the Chicago Pagan Community Conference.
Lady Ruthann's career in the Correllian Tradition has been every bit as active as her career in the wider Pagan community.
In Year 2 Aquarius Lady Ruthann was named a Grand Deemstress of the Correllian Tradition, and placed in charge of the Review of Witan Shrines.
In Year 3 Aquarius Lady Ruthann was appointed to the Correllian Council of Elders, giving her the title of Arch Priestess.
As a Correllian Arch Priestess Lady Ruthann is entitled to stand in for Lady Krystel in ceremonies of the Mother Temple when the First Priestess is unable to take part.
The Arch Priestess also performs a wide range of administrative and ceremonial duties including facilitating a large number of the Initiatory Confirmations now going on.
As of 3 September, Year 5 Aquarius, First Priestess Krystel, has retired after 26 years in office. Lady Krystel's stated reason for retiring is the desire to see her successor seated during her lifetime, so that she can see for herself that the succession goes smoothly and the future of the Tradition is secure. Lady Krystel's designated Heir is Arch Priestess Ruthann Amarteifio, who now becomes Regent for the office of First Priestess, and shall so serve for one year before being confirmed as First Priestess by the Witan.
This is the Head of our council. This Position is also responsible for new member advicating and mediating.

Hospitilar
Our Hospitilar is Tatianna Wolfdancer "Tati".
Tatianna Wolfdancer Stormwolf came into this world in April 1965 during the turmoil and tumult of the 60s. Young Tati was then known as Kitty, a name she still detests to this day. Growing up Tati always looked forward to Halloween and would later in life learn that her favorite day was also called Samhain and was a pagan/wiccan holiday. Her religious up bringing was rather lax, her parents not sure of what their own paths were. She felt at home attending the Unitarian Society in SchenectadyNY where she experienced her first Beltane celebrations even though she didn’t know what they were at the time.
Tati learned to cook at a fairly young age, able to make palatable scrabbled eggs at the age of 6. Her love of cooking grew as she did, committing each new recipe, success and yes even failures to memory. She would often times watch her great grandmother Louise as she baked cookies, pies and cakes. Great grandma would make her motions slow and deliberate, knowing the young mind was watching her. Each person that Tati has met in her life has contributed their knowledge in some form to the cook she is today.
One day while taking a walk with her children she happened on a small shop called The Green Light. She wandered inside and discovered home. The proprietor, one Corel by name sent her on her way with Uncle Bucky’s Big Blue Book and several books by author Scott Cunningham. She began her studies of Wicca with these books but had yet to meet any pagans or wiccans in the area she was living in at the time.
Tati made a huge move in 2001, moving from one coast to another. She found when she came to Washington state a large pagan community. It was here she found her friends Dragon and Phoenix Stormwolf as well as Isarma Spellsinger and Eion Woodcraft. Since finding and being accepted by Dragon and Phoenix her interest in her studies have grown tenfold and she has started to hone the abilities she’d already possessed and has learned she may have others.
Having had prophetic dreams from childhood she always felt like a bit of a freak but now she knows she is not the only one with this gift. She’s also been able to feel spirits since she was a child as well. Recently she has been able to see as well as hear them and she’s always been one to listen to her “gut”. Generally if someone made Tati’s skin crawl or made her “itch” there was a reason.
Her love of cooking and eagerness to share her talent as a kitchen witch makes her infinitely qualified for the position of hospitlar. She has taken under her wing Monkey Stormwolf who is her assistant. Tati’s love of cooking continues to grow. Her love and connection to the god and goddess and the universe is growing as well. She has found a clan who love and accept her for who she is and this has given her room to spread her wings.
Her fiancé David Stoddart is the Amicus Curiae of the group she is now a member of. She hopes to marry David soon and have him live with her here in the US. They met online and though they tried really hard not to, fell hopelessly in love. David is her soul mate, her other half and she counts herself lucky to have found him.
Arianna Starwing was born in Albany, NY on May 25, 1983. There in upstate NY is where she discovered the craft with her mother, Tatianna Wolfdancer on an outing to the local shops in town while visiting during one of her mother’s visitation weekends. They’d found a tiny little shop called The Green Light that had intrigued them by the energies it put off. This experience inspired Arianna to look into different types of religion after the shopkeepers introduced Tatianna to the world of witchcraft, sending her off with a few necessary items and Buckland’s Book of Witchcraft. After several years of research, Arianna decided that the world of Wicca was right for her. This was a turning point for the then young teen as it helped instill in her the confidence to get out of a very bad situation for her and have the guts to move in with her mother permanently. This eventually led to a drastic move with the family as a whole to Olympia, WA where she met Dragon & Phoenix Stormwolf and Isarma Spellsinger. This meeting inspired her to get more involved with the craft and expand her horizons. It was some time before she actually joined a shrine, opting to wait for the right group to come together. She found that group in Dragon and Phoenix Stormwolf and their clan. She’s been at home ever since.
Arianna is very professional, detail oriented, and well organized, especially with the right tools. She is eager to learn new things, especially languages which are her passion. Currently she can read Spanish and French. She has a good eye for arrangements and design, and also spent a year and a half in Job Corps in the Graphic Communications trade which helped boost many of these abilities. She is quite gregarious and is overcoming some residual shyness from being a quiet child/teen. She is excellent with children and will be working with Adrianne Stormwolf with the youth pagan programs the Shrine is formulating. She is also very observant when it comes to the important details. She is also comfortable with her knowledge of the Greek/Roman Pantheon and willing to learn more about them if there is something she is new to.
Some of Arianna’s skills include aura cleansing, touch healing and amplification. She is still discovering other talents as she has found an excellent group whom bring out the best in her. She also has talents in construction and crafting of rituals. She is quite the instructor and does enjoy teaching others what she knows. She also takes instruction well and is able to teach others while she learns.
Some things she would like to learn more of are the tarot, herbalism, the other pantheons (particularly the Norse), brush up her current languages and learn even more. Her goals are to help her community and Shrine in anyway she can and some day have family who is unafraid to admit that they are all witches.
