Mad Ideas

Overview

Yellow Pagoda consists of a very amateur Radio (would work better as TV) Sketch Show. Hopefully, although despite it being recorded in a smelly ICT room with a crappy mircophone, it might still be relitively funny. If you liked our contribution to h2g2 then you will probably love the Sketch Show.

So far to date we have completed 3 Sketch Shows. We have a all of the script for 4 planned and we are currently writing for a new feature length.

For more scripts, sketches and totally unrelated gubbins, click the links on each of our names on the home page, which will take you to either our deviantART page, or MSN spaces, or in Peter F's case to his own 'Doctor Who' and 'Blakes 7' website.

Where did "Yellow Pagoda" come from?

The name Yellow Pagoda was thought of just a little while after we had created the first "Sketch Show". The first sketch show was a small production performed at school as part of some drama work in our English lessons. As the sketches flooded in however, and we were formulating ideas about a radio encarnation, we decided that we needed a name. Now we were disscussing ways of inventing names, i.e. random name generators, famous people, etc and Christopher came up with the ideas of doing what Tom Clancy does with his books. Chris said "We should just get two random words and shove them together", so this what we did. Almost instantaniously infact, becuase Peter B suggested straight away "Yellow Pagoda" and it stuck. Not the most interesting stories (I bet you were expecting to hear how it was the name of all of our late grannies who had been terribly nice to us and we did it in their honour; well no) but oh wel you'll get over it.
