| Disclaimer |
Alright...I feel the need to add a disclaimer to this page, considering all the serious topics covered and the number of people out there who will believe anything they read on the web.
All the information you see on this page was actually RESEARCHED, I didn't just pull it out of the air, unless I said somewhere on the page, "Hey, this is some stuff I made up" Which won't be often.
I am not a behaviorist, nope...sorry. I'm just a yellow collared macaw owner who has TRIED and PROVEN the behavior-altering methods that I outline on the behavior tips page. If I have not TRIED and PROVEN them, It will say that next to that particular subject. I get my sources for those tips from a well known avian behaviorist, but I do not think it is fair to him/her that I post his/her name, since they're not here to guide you through your problems personally.
All of the birdie recipes I post will either be from a VERY reputable source (think Birdtalk) or will be first tried out by me, and sampled (if found safe and yummie) by Alex. I am not responsible for any reaction you or your bird might have to something found in one of these recipes. In other words if Polly is allergic to raspberries and you give him raspberry muffins just because I said they're "bird friendly" then sorry, you shouldn't have fed Polly raspberries...umm....hello.
Anything else on this page that I say that offends you I apologize for. Its really just my dry, sarcastic sense of humor, and I'm not trying to offend anyone. Most of the sarcasm you read is me trying to make people considering a ycm to think twice. Maybe I'm going about it wrong, but nothing's stopping you from e-mailing me and telling me about it...if you feel that strongly. Maybe I'll change it, lol, I'm not that stubborn. If I posted something on here that I don't have permission to use (graphic, link, etc) then I'm sorry, tell me and I'll take it off. I'm not trying to steal anyone's stuff. I just want this to be a site of reliable, up to date info that ycm owners (or anyone else for that matter) can use to better the lives of themselves, their bird, and those around them both.
Anything else you can think of that I should have said...pretend I did. That's all the time I'm going to spend on this, take care everyone, love to all, and have a beautiful day. ~Andrea
