The Vertical Jump Resource Manual. by Vrt4u

What is the Vertical Jump Resource Manual? There are alot of good vertical jump resources on the internet and I know because I have looked at alot of them. But I don't want to plagurize and I am not so great at putting all of the things that I have learned into my own words. So instead I have made this little ebook listing the link to good websites as well as a brief description. And the best part is most of this info is total free!

higher-faster-sports
This website is one of the best. Not only does it sell the Vertical Jump Bible which is probaly the best ebook you could buy if you want to improve your vertical jump. But it also has a ton of FREE articles and a big Q&A section. So even if you can't afford to buy the Vertical Jump Bible (and I reccomend that you do buy it if you can) this is still going to be a very helpful website. It also covers things like increasing speed, increasing quickness, strength building, fatloss and bodybuilding.

vert.2fear.com
Free articles, Product reviews and a pretty decent links page. Probaly most of the things that you would learn in the articles you could learn from the last website.I have most of the good links in this ebook. But the product review page might be worth your time if you are looking to buy any vertical jump products.

exrx.net
Alot of these resources might tell you to perform an exercise but neglect to show you how to perfrom it. Thats where exrx.net comes in they have small animationed pictures of almost anything that you can do with freeweights (they don't seem to have bodyweight stuff).

Bodybuilding.com
Don't let the name fool you. This site is about bodybuilding about strength training for just about everything else that you could strength train for. Also has a great exercise library showing you how to perform them, That along with the previous website should be all you need to saftly perfrom most exercisese. Bodybuilding.com Matt Brughelli - 10 Exercises For Explosive Athletes!
Here are 10 exercises for developing explosive strength and power for the sprint/jump athlete. Learn more about how you can improve your power. Bodybuilding.com - SportSpecific.com - The Truth About Plyometrics - Part 2
In part II of this breakthrough training series, Juan goes into detail about how to create a plyometric training program, and even gives a complete 12-week plyometric training program for basketball including images of eleven plyometric exercises.

Plyometrics... Sample Programs & Animated Drills
Plyometrics bridges the gap between strength and speed. Use these sample routines and drills to improve your sport-specific power...

Terminalvertical.com
Forum that mostly talks about increasing your vertical jump and simeral topics. Be warned The Vertical Jump Bible is very poupular here and you would save yourself alot of trouble if you would go to the higher-faster-sports website and at least look around before you start posting. And if you want to look really cool here just talk about how much you can squat (atleast 1.5X your bodyweight) Kelly Bagget (the guy that wrote the Vertical Jump Bible) and VJB (the Vertical Jump Bible). All joking aside there is actual a few people here that know what they are talking about and you have probaly noticed that I am also a fan of VJB and the higher-faster website although there are some REAL supporters of that stuff there!

The Vertical ProjectSells a very expensive program. Claims to be the worlds greatest expert on increasing your vertical jump. I don't know because his program is way to expensive for me.Anyway he does have a free email series that you can sign up for. I really don't know if any thing that he has to say is true or just bull.

Vertcoach.com
This site has some articles mostly from the higher-faster-sports And The Vertical Project collections. They also have a few articles from other sources.

Powerplyos.com
Sells a program. Also has a free email series. I kind of liked the free email series here. But I only got like 8 of them and they quit coming.

Sportandfit-library.co.nr
Library of free ebooks in the sports training and fitness catorgory. Includes some in vertical jumping.

Sportandfit.bb2.org
Forum to the Sportandfit-library website.

An illustrated description of the new Vew-Do plyometrics exercise training program with information on plyometrics, plyometric training, proprioception and core training.

Wobble Boards ? ProBodX Equipment Construction | patrick schneider
Wobble boards are easy to make yourself! Create your own wobble boards with common hardware store items. Wobble boards are great for off-balance training systems like ProBodX.

Volleyballforums.com
As you might guess this is a forum that talks about volleyball. They also disscuse vertical jumping in there "Preparing for the game" section. Probaly the most nice people I have ever met on a forum.

What I really reccomend doing is going to the higher-faster-sports website and if you can then buy The Vertical Jump Bible. If you can't get it or even if you can I reccomend reading his articles and Q&A section. Getting a program put together (VJB has several and I think that he has a free sample in the articles section) then go to exrx.net and bodybuilding.com and make sure that you are doing the exercises correctly (if you don't have accsess to weights vert.2fear.com and VJB both have bodyweight exercises) then go to a forum like Terminalvertical.com and Sportandfit.bb2.org. Also keep checking the website Sportandfit-library.co.nr for more great ebooks (they add a new ebook like every other day)

Also if you would like to contact me to ask a question of something. Or if you would like to submit a different vertical resource to be put in a future editon then go to Sportandfit.bb2.org and PM Vrt4u.
