09.10.06 - The final is upon us! (at last...) Bikini v. Jesker, Bastogne Corridor West. Also today, uploaded all of the files necessary to play 'Scenario X' the meeting engagement, 'points based' type scenario developed by Dean H. Judson and Carole L. Popoff (Commando719@hotmail.com), with additional material by Paul Day and Yours Truly (yangtze2000@yahoo.com).
18.09.06 - Still waiting for the second semi-final to be played... come on boys!
28.08.06 - I'm back from holiday, and it looks like Zorz is still AWOL, so Bikini glides into the semi-finals on a walkover! The semi-finals draw is done, and matches are detailed under 'Tournament Schedule'.
08.08.06 - Well, if Zorz doesn't turn up soon it will have to a walkover for Bikini. Deadline Monday 14th.
21.07.06 - I've extended the deadline for the quarter-finals by a week, since I can't even play my own game until Tuesday
12.07.06 - The quarter-final draw is done, and the matches are detailed under 'Tournament Schedule'. Good luck in the snow, gentlemen!
07.07.06 - Zorz and Bod get a bye into the quarter finals, as does Bilben. Coltsfan and Fez are still hopeful of getting their game in very soon.
05.07.06 - Coltsfan has been in touch and is trying desperately to arrange a game with Fezlington. They have serious time difference... I'm sure one of them will be prepared to sacrifice a little sleep
04.07.06 - Please re-read the news for 04.07.06 below - I added some stuff...
04.07.06 - Have been chasing people! Zorz, Fez, and Bod are definately still in. I've had no contact with Dean or Dane. Brycie kindly let me know he can't spare the time this time. Caboose and Coltsfan both said they wanted to play early on, but have gone quiet recently. If things stay as they are and I hear nothing before friday (the original deadline for round 1 games), then we get Zorz, Fez, Bod, and Bilben into the second round on walkovers, and the second round becomes the quarter-finals (which it might not have been had more players expressed an interest). Also, there's a poll for the third round scenario at the bottom of this page. Finally, I managed to set up a new page to accommodate game results, so we can just use the 'guestbook' for leaving email addresses, organising games, etc.. Just leave results as a comment to the original posting on the results page.
03.07.06 - Brummbar asked about the logfiles... I wasn't going to bother with logfiles this time around, although they do make a nice record of the games, and help to resolve disputes... I'll get to grips with the file posting bit of this freewebs site for next time. For now, it's advisable for players to start a logfile at the beginning of games, but don't send them to me afterwards unless there's a dispute (hopefully, no scenes like Portugal v. Holland in the World Cup. I wonder if there's a boardgame equivalent of diving?)
01.07.06 - Round 2 scenario will transport us to the Eastern Front - Breakout to Lisyanka. The draw for round 2 will take place as soon as round 1 is completed, giving people a reasonable time to play their round 1 game (Vassal has been down recently). Urrah!
23.06.06 - Added a couple of M44 links (there will be more), and a couple of self-indulgent ones
22.06.06 - Unfortunately JMcL63 can't organise his VASSAL connection at this moment, and so chuckiep as first reserve will take his place.
21.06.06 - Any players on the reserve list, or those wanting to play that are not currently on the list, are welcome to join before the first match deadline. Those players will play a first round match. If they get through, they will be in the draw for the second round, which may involve some byes.
