Please RSVP for this Trip:

If you have never attended a recent YaleCooks event in New Haven or New York City please complete the online YaleCooks food-cooking survey (CT; New Haven chapter version).  Thanks for helping us build our "membership".

Who Is Invited?

If you consider yourself a member of the "Yale community" we want to meet you!

Event Details:

Please remember to RSVP for this event.   (see the top of this page for more information)

Date: February 23, 2013 (Saturday)

Time: 8:00 AM - [6:00 PM - 8:00 PM]

Plan: We will meet at a member's home (in New Haven) at 8 AM, eat a quick breakfast, and at 9 AM drive one hour to the mountain resort (most likely "Ski Sundown").  We anticipate being back in New Haven between 6 PM and 8 PM.

Expenses: The estimated cost to rent equipment and to get a lift ticket is $100 (probably a little less).  If you are new to skiing and snowboarding please join us.  There are reasonably priced rental-lift-class combination packages.

Lunch & Snack Suggestions: The plan is for each member to bring lunch (which will be left in the car while we are on the slopes).  Picnic-style foods (eg. cold sandwiches, flatbreads, dips, and other foods suggested here) which do not need utencils or heating to eat are best.  A microwave may be available in the lodge, but there may be a long line to use it (so do not bring food which needs to be cooked in a microwave).  Packing a thermos with hot water (eg. to make tea or instant hot chocolate) is a very good idea.
