a long time ago

Mood: sleepy

A long time ago, I used to faithfully update this website. Now, it has fallen into a trench, trying to dig itself out. Why? Well, high school + finals week = HELL. For the past few weeks, I've been trying to maintain that A in the class so I don't screw up my academic career. To my great pleasure, it seems I have maintained straight A's for this semester (woo-hoo!). So, it is now summer and I can finally get back on the blogging-sphere (not that anyone reads this o___o). I'm going to go finish some summer work, but tomorrow, I'll blog about the first day of summer school and our ECA Week last week. Cool.

Mother's Day
10 May 2009 - 11:00P
Mood: excited

Happy Mother's Day! Today, I made my mother breakfast. It had hash browns (which she calls hash whites because they weren't brown enough *rolls eyes*), scrambled cheese-eggs, and sausages for part one. Part two was cinnamon pancakes with maple syrup, honey, powdered sugar, and strawberries. The top pancake was heart shaped, which my mom thought was cute :]. Photos to be added later...

Then, for dinner, my brother took us out to eat at her used-to-be favorite restaurant/cafe. Used-to-be because the service was terrible, but I won't get into that. After dinner, we went to visit my cousin, aunt, niece, and nephew. We surprised them with flowers, though just showing up was a surprise, I think. We don't see each other very often, if even at all, so it was nice. I really want a close family, though, so I hope we get together in the future more. And with that, I'm off!

star trek at the amc

Mood: joyful

First off, Star Trek was absolutely AMAZING. It had funny bits, action bits, and a good story line. I would see it again if I could, it would be worth it :D
Anyways, I like the actors Chris Pine (James T. Kirk) and Simon Pegg (Scotty) to begin with, so I would have seen the movie at least once somehow, some way. Anywho, Chris Pine was actually the one who got me into McFLY. I watched a movie of his, Just My Luck, and although I didn't really like the movie so much, I really liked him (yes, I thought he was cute...), so I kept watching it.

And at first, I thought the band in the movie, McFLY, were just actors; that hypothesis was proven wrong, though, when they were credited as MCFLY. Hahaha... slightly slow. So I went online to do some research on McFLY, and since the movie was kinda old, McFLY had already done a lot, so I had lots of resources. And it turns out, I love them :]

But back to about the movie. It was awesome (and Chris Pine looked really good in it ;] ). The only thing I didn't quite like about it was the woman sitting next to me. She must have been in her 40s, accompanied by her husband/boyfriend/guy friend. She smelled like mildew and kept talking throughout the film. Well, whispering, but still. When they showed Spock in the movie, she whispered back the name, so I assume she's a Trekkie xD. All the violent scenes, she gasped (quite audibly) and said, "Oh my God :O." <-- Just like that. But other than that, the movie was great!

Here are two pictures and the movie trailer. It may entice you to go watch it, and definitely do. You don't need to know ANYTHING about Star Trek - I didn't :]

gyu-kaku and the zune

Mood: bored

So last Saturday, I went to this restaurant called "Gyu-Kaku." It was much better than the Hot-Pots, food and experience-wise. It's a Japanese restaurant. The meat was really good and the server was so nice. Turns out, she went to Temple City HS. What are the chances, right? So anyways, it was kinda expensive, but we went for my mom's birthday. So goo *drool*

After, my brother and his girlfriend took me to the Apple Store to check out the iPod Nano 4G, which I'm contemplating on buying. I think I'm going to go with the Zune 3G, though. The battery life is questionable, so I'm worried, but the software for it is much easier to use than iTunes. By a lot. For now, my mind's set on the Zune.

Some pictures for you:
