For those of you who dont know what a rubberband ball is, it is a ball made out of rubberbands. Some people like to start with something in the middle and others start with 100% rubberbands, like me. This is a hobby that some people have and they dedicated alot of their time to it. I started my rubberband ball years and years ago. I thought id like to share it with everyone else so I made some a web site. I would almost like to think of myself as the founder of bringing rubberband balls online. There were many sites before mine, but what really made the difference was my yahoo group. Right now I have about 30 dedicated members in it and it is visited by many. When I started my rubberband ball I didnt know I would go this far. Right now it is about 110 pounds. I have to tell you the truth that I have no worked on it for about 2 years now. When I had my web site up before I asked for donations and many people sent me some! I had a list but after a while I got so many I lost count. One person even sent me 50 pounds and I am going to put them on over the summer. I have been in ESPN the magazine, local-newspaper, various non local papers and even on TV (CBS). My ball has gotten much fame. I ended up naming is ARBY because I thought it needed a name. My goal was to get in the record books, if I accomplished on thing in my life it was to get in the record book for my ball. Right now in the record book it says this is the record but I am pretty sure it has been broken and will be updated soon. I have a long ways to go, and this is just something cool that I like doing.
