The Story //
Perhaps you are curious how this whole thing came to be? Oh, now you're disappointed because you were expecting a short story behind the comic. Don't leave yet, it's coming.
Bloodloss originally started in January of 2006 as a small forum called Novellus Saeculum with a pretty lame and flat plot. It was extremely disorganized, and as it grew, I knew things had to be changed. So, before the year was up, the forum moved over to another one, Novus Aetas. I learned how to format Proboards skins and made it much more appealing to the eye. Also, I organized a lot of the categories and information on the species, story, ect. Then I realized... where am I going with this? So I kept on organizing and rethinking the original plot idea. Unfortunately, life put it's big fat foot between the forum and I in the midst of this all. And once I was out of school, I still couldn't control it. So I closed Novus Aetas for good. So it seemed.
During the period before life stepped in, Kero had become increasingly helpful with the forum. She'd watch it for me while I was away and ran things just as I would. Soon, she was the one to step up next to my side and offer her hand in help with the whole project itself. You see, I wanted to turn this into a Comic, a Graphic Novel. I realized at last that yes, this would be a wonderful novel, but even better as a Comic. I originally hired Shroxx to do it, but she had her own life issues to deal with. Understanding, I let her drop it, and Kero picked it up and started it over from scrap.
Even when I shut down the forum, Kero was still there as my supporter. She never let the idea of it die on me, and she continued to work on the comic project. Eventually, she got my stressed out butt inspired enough to pick it all up again in my freetime, and thus this was born. We decided on the name "Bloodloss" this time for two reasons. One is that the two comics we will be producing will be named Wolf Blood, and Wolf's Loss. Combine the two of the last words and you get Bloodloss. The second reason was for all the bloodshed that occurs during the whole thing. It was appropriate. This time, however, things will be running differently. Kero and I discussed several issues that were amongst the past two versions of the forum and we figured out ways to fix them. We went in together in organization and information as well as images and the forum coding itself. And now, it is a near flawless forum, ready to be deflowered with lots of roleplay!
As for the comic is progress, Wolf Blood... Do not worry! Kero is working her hardest on it and nearly has the first issue completed. There is still no publisher, but that is soon to change. I highly doubt I can get Wolf Blood to sell on shelves for a while, so when it does go on sale, you will have to buy it online from me. All profits will be split equally with Kero, of course. And because of this fact, we will not release the last page of each chapter publicly. That way, you will want to know what you're missing, and it will be worth your money :D As well as I will personally sign each one of them for the first 100 copies sold, perhaps add something personal if I know you. I have given Kero permission to sell them as well. The price will depend on who you buy from, as she is in Canada and I am in the States. She will be signing them as well, though as to the numbers I am unsure. If the comic becomes a success, then merchandise may be in the future :D Sculptures of some of the characters, T-shirts, hoodies, beanies, hats... socks :o These things are all just "ifs" though. We will wait and see.
