WYL'FUKIN'FA NEWS IS DOWN BELOW

Birth - School - Good Career - Happiness - Wylfa - Lonliness - Poverty - Unoticed Death

But its still BETTER THAN WREXHAM!!

NEWS - last updated 26/03/05

Welcome to what could end up being the very last update on www.wylfa.tk as wylfa has, with the help of hobbits, been able to acquire a new site at www.wylfa.co.uk, theres little on it at the moment, but will be finished shortly. Anyway, Wylfa will be ending the hols on friday the 1st april with a gig in the buck, being supported by Ballsack Redemption Curse. Should be a damn good gig as we're hoping to get the three new songs finished and ready to play, so come on down. Also, the gig in Aber on May 1st looks to still be going ahead, we're all pretty excited about that.

Anyhoo, cheers me dears

Yo mofos! Things have been moving on the old western front for your favourite band! A recent practice saw the virtual completion of 2 of the latest songs - beehunter and pirate song - both bloomin genius, heavy and melodic! The third song we worked on has taken the name 9 Levels, tis about mans decent into hell! Easter is also on the horizon and that means a lot more practice and possibly one or two gigs here and there. Keep checking in to find out whats going on.

RIGHT WYLFA DISCIPLES ITS ABOUT TIME WE STARTED RUNNING THIS SITE PROPERLY SO IM WRITING THIS IN CAPITALS TO GET YOUR ATTENTION SO THAT YOU DONT GO STRAIGHT FOR THE GUESTBOOK!!!! What are we up to? At the mo i would just like to thank the band for sticking together really well during the last year which has seen us make great leaps of progress whilst being held back by some pretty fundamental problems! Wylfa are still preparing to unleash the full force of the promised album 'Garwxn', which, provided Geffen keep their promises, should be in all good music stores (er, so probs just better ask one of us for a copy like!) before the summer. Pie, P and I (steeee) have been working pretty hard when we can on getting three new songs to complete the album finished: The Beehunter (a ferociously heavy, yet melodic assault on Bush's round the world attack on all things not McDonalds), Dark Hearts (a rip-roaringly genius heavy sing along chorus number) and a song about going to hell which is as yet unnamed, yet still has one of the coolest mid sections ever!

Anyways im heading back to uni on saturday so practices in the next two months will be few and far between, but I can promise you one thing....WYLFA ARE ALIVE AND WE'RE COMING TO KICK ASS (lame I know) WITH A GENIUS ALBUM

ARE YOU GARWXN?......steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is Jabba Gravy Man checking in ta let you know that Wylfa are gonna goddamn rock this Sunday night, opening the bill with The Chickenheads down the, yup you guessed it, Buck! Decapity are headlining whilst releasing their debut album and Arceye are also playing - ive no idea what they do though!

Next letter:                            E

No prizes for spelling Pie's name then! yes, Pie, as in David (Pie) Jackson is the new frontman for wylfa, taking us into the new year headon! Anyhoo Moscow

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yo we have JAIGIEM pretty much ready, one of our heaviest songs to date... with another new heavy as fuck song on the way!!!! also have a gig lined up on 19th December, no prizes for guessing where!!! opening up for Vengeance at their album launch and another act. So looking forward to that big time - and the unveiling of the new singer, the second letter of which:

                                                                            I

Probs guess who it is then

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey people, long time no see!!! anyhoo, wylfa would like to announce that after a whole summer of searching they have finally decided upon a full-time singer. This has been a big move for the band and a lot of changes will be expected, especially on the lyrics front which, with a full time singer, initially from outside of our insane circle, should improve no end. Anyhoo as your all gasping to know who it is.......im gonna issue the name in letters whenever i get on the net. heres the first:                              P

In other news a genius new track is in the mill being prepared for international consumption, it is seriously heavy and marks yet another direction within the wylfa sound - Garwxn, the album, is looking up to being a god given gift to all ears:D

THIS ONE GOES OUT TO MINTY AND HIS SALVATION ARMY FRIENDS  Yar maaan how go is it? The Buckfest went geniously as a day!!!! All the bands kicked arse - especially Circus Act, The Pain, Vengeance and Smoke Like a Fish! Our two new songs went ok as well, but need loads of time to develop like the other stuff. The gig should be up on www.newtownlive.co.uk at some point in the future so keep checking that out genius yar

Yo people....there was complaints about the useless updating of this site, so ive taken it upon myself to do it! Erm......biggest news is BUCK FEST 2004 is coming this Saturday!!! Its a sell-out and will be genius. Wylfa will be entertaining the tea time crew at roughly 4.30pm just after Christian Blood - how cool is that! Also we have writtenm and finished live versions of lock up and leave and Neb Se Noj, so yar - twill be thing of legend. Also in the garage we've written pretty much all of Jaigiem (the newest one) and are busy tweaking the legendary unplayed Bow Two Me. Wylfa.tk gives you what you want.... Yeah man!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello chaps! Apologies for the lack of up to date material but ironically enough, now that we have news to put on here, were too busy doing gigs and songwriting to fill you all in!!!! Anyways, on the 15th July we played the Edge with Moses Eats Cheese, which was a cool night; 18th July we were lucky enough to get a slot with VENGEANCE, who's genius jazzy/death metal set kicked ass, in the Buck. This gigged kicked ass and I dont think anyone that went can disagree, twas a good night all round......cheers to Pie, Simon, Rob and anyone else who helped me with the vocals for our two maiden covers  heh heh. Last night (20th July) we were again entertaining the Buck crowd whilst opening for a couple of punk acts from Portsmouth as the local support. Again it was a cool night, and just goes to show that the Buck is on its way to being a legendary bar in the rock/metal world!  Anyways, on Fri we will be playing our first away gig if you like, tis in Llani, and we would appreciate as much support as possible if anyone is able to get out there (will update on venue in next few hours). Following this gig we will be relaxing a while whilst completing the new songs and preparing for the greatest festival in history...........make way for THE BUCK FEST (more news on that soon).

Peace Out

Greetings scumbags, tis I, Big Al. Yeh, anyway, just thought Id add some news. We actually have some gigs, so u cretins can come along and complain at us for 2 nights in a row. 16th July, at Llanidloes with Moses Eats Cheese and numerous Llanidloes bands and on the 17th July, in surprise surprise, THE EDGE. This will be he Super Duper Happy Fun Fest 2, again with Moses, and some other people. I do believe me and ste will be anialating the songs once again, but gladly this will be the lst group of gigs like this. The search for a new singer has begun, and I have comprised a list of asks of this person.............

Is Axl Rose, with a tad of Steven Tyler, a smidgen of Justin Hawkins, but with the range of James Hetfield, if ya get me.*

Loves, not likes, LOVES Guns and Roses, Metallica, Aerosmith and think Wylfa is the most genius thing since the wheel(Yes I am aware it is only me and Ste think like this, but theres gotta be sum1 else right?)*

Good Commitment level, or just sum1 who'll turn up to practices, and on time.*

Good Energy,*

Stage presence,*

Preferably some kind of Voice amp because we dont have that equipment,*

Basically someone we get along with,*

Someone that will not let Ste talk on stage because hes more cringeworthy than David Brent and is as funny as that Ian guy who bounces on the door at the exchange.*

If you believe you posses this power, do not hesitate to get in contact with me, not ste at bigal_the_masterbasser@hotmail.com, and we can arrange some kind of get together and have a jolly old time.

Farewell losers

Big Al

P.S.If Ste adds in anything in addition to this, please ignore it.

*These are in no way darrogatorry comments about Lee

Since the previous entry, there hasbeen a lot going on in the world of wylfa, the most apparent being the alteration in the line-up. For various undisclosed reasons, Wylfa have parted company with original vocalist and songwriter Lee. The band thanks his contribution and wishes him thebest of luck with his new band Arcane Church (who's website is on our links page). Also the gig on thursday 3rd June in the Edge, opening the Mmmmm...Rock fest went geniously; great to be included on the bill with a band like Vengeance!!! Anyways, keep on wylfa.tkfor all the news all the time.

love, peace, and a good garden pond to ya all, see ya soon.......steeeeeeeeeeeeee

sstttttteeeeeeeeee

Greetings scumbags. As you may or may not have heard, wylfa will be re-emerging after a rather impotent spell on June 3rd, in the mmmmmm......bop, i mean rock festival, opening for metal lords Vengeance and Punk masters Fatwax. It will be on June 3rd in, yes, youve guessed it, The Edge. Some groovilicious covers will be let loose, and a new song, called Outside In is to unleash the fury. I wrote the lyrics to this praticular song, and lended a helping hand in writin the riffage, so it is my baby, and deals with an issue thats very important to me. So, yeh, screw you.  Nevertheless, if anybody from the land of Newtown finally chooses to realise, that other genres of music do exist, and what we are doing is pure, come along, if you are there to complain that stes guitaring has gone downhill "Since listnin to aerosmith and all that soft crap" you may take your leave, and thankfully never return.

Its called opening your mind.

Death to all, especially you

Big Al

The gig takes place in the new centre of rock/metal in Newtown, hell, in Mid-Wales - the Buck. Headlining the show will be Vengeance, so come and check it all out on Sunday 28th March. 'Ja, this will be good' - Arnie talking about this gig.
