Please help us identify these pictures. Hover your mouse over a picture to see a short description, and click on the thumbnail to see the picture. Every picture has been resized so that they will download faster. Most of these pictures are from the home that Charles H. Wykes, Jr. built. This property was originally purchased in 1879 by Charles H. Wykes, Sr. and the original house has been torn down. Other pictures were sent to us by Randy Campbell, and a few pictures are from Jane Fohn.
Here are some things to keep in mind as you look at these pictures:
You may not think that you will be able to identify any of these people since you never saw them in person. However, you may have seen them in previous (labeled) pictures, or you may have pictures of them in your own collection, so it is not unlikely that you may recognize someone in these pictures.
Even if you do not recognize any of the faces, let us know if you gather any clues from the pictures. Can you date the picture (approx.) from the clothing, hairstyles, jewelry, furniture, etc?
Please click on the thumbnails to be taken to a larger view of the picture. We may have a longer explanation of the picture or more details (photographer, where the picture was found, possible names, etc.) with the larger image.
Do you have any similar pictures? If you can send a scanned copy to us this would be helpful!
Some of these pictures may be of friends of the Wykes & Robey families.
