The Killer Cult of Scientology

THE KILLER CULT OF SCIENTOLOGY

SCIENTOLOGISTS BELIEVE . . .

. . . that 75 million years ago, an evil galactic ruler, named Xenu, solved overpopulation by bringing trillions of people to Earth in DC-8 space planes, stacking them around volcanoes, and nuking them. The souls of the dead space aliens were then captured, boxed up, and taken to cinemas where they were shown films about what life should be like and were imprinted with false ideas regarding God, heaven, the devil and Jesus. After that, these spirits clustered together and began to inhabit peoples’ bodies, making them ill. People must now get rid of these evil spirits (or, "body thetans") in order to get well and to gain the ability to transcend physical matter (M.E.S.T.), including their own bodies. Of course, new recruits are not told this story until level 3, once they have been entrenched in Scientology for a couple of years. Scientology levels 3 through 7 are all about being treated in order to get rid of these body thetans.

SCIENTOLOGY’s CLAIMS . . .

Based on the book Dianetics, by L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology claims to be "the fastest growing spiritual self-betterment and reform group in the world." Hubbard proclaimed Scientology to be the solution to man’s problems, giving "the essential answers to life". Is it?

claims compatibility with Christianity, but . . .

* Hubbard on Christianity:

- "I don't know how they found it; either by watching madmen or something. But since that time they have used it. And it became what is known as Christianity." (Class 8 Auditor's Course)

- Hubbard said that Christianity is mind control that has "succeeded by making people into victims."

- Hubbard said that Christianity is a particularly nefarious religion—it is "chaos resulting from the activities…of one operating thetan [Jesus] 2,000 years ago."

- Hubbard said "the Christian religion cannot possibly be true" since it seeks to save souls that are actually demons. (Hubbard, 1958 Videotape, Clearing Congress Lecture)

- Hubbard said that Christ (like God, the devil, heaven, etc.) was a myth fabricated by space aliens in order to deceive man from realizing his true nature.

- Christian Scientologists must renounce Christianity if they are to reach Scientology's highest levels.

* Hubbard on Christ:

- Hubbard denied the existence of Christ and claimed that to respond to Christ is to be under the control of a false memory implant from 75 million years ago: "You will find the cross as a symbol all over the universe, and the Christ legend as implant in pre-clears a million years ago." (Prof. Auditors Bulletins, v. 2, p. 26, 1954)

- Hubbard said, "there was no Christ. But the man on the cross is shown as Everyman." (Class VIII Auditor Course, "Krakatoa and Beyond" 10/3/68)

- In Scientology, "Clears" (those who have been "cured" by Scientology) are spiritual equals of Jesus.

- Hubbard said, "the historic Jesus was not nearly the sainted figure he has been made out to be. In addition to being a lover of young boys and men, he was given to uncontrollable bursts of temper and hatred…"

- Hubbard said: "Christ died for his own sins." (Saint Hill tape #12).

* How Did Hubbard Feel About God?

"That guy is GONE (I hope!)." (HCO Bulletin of 5/11/63)

* Scientology’s Philosophies are New Age & Are Far Eastern in origin:

- That Scientology is a hodge-podge of Hubbard’s study of a variety of beliefs systems--particularly those of Far Eastern origin--is well documented.

- Scientology’s Creed states: "We of the Church believe that his [man’s] survival depends upon himself and upon his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe." (italics added) This concept is the premise of all New Age & Far Eastern philosophies and religions.

- Belief in Reincarnation is also central to Scientology.

* Hubbard taught many things that contradicted Scripture:

- Scientology’s Creed states: "We of the Church believe that the spirit can be saved and that the spirit alone [the human spirit] may save or heal the body." (italics added)

- "We of the Church believe that man is basically good" (Scientology Creed)

- Hubbard: "It is despicable and utterly beneath contempt to tell a man he must repent, that he is evil."

- Scientology spokesperson, Leisa Goodman: We are not a ‘turn-the-other-cheek’ religion."

SCIENTOLOGY ACTUALLY IS . . .

* A PSEUDO-SCIENCE. Pseudoscience is defined as a body of knowledge, methodology, belief, or practice that claims to be scientific but does not adhere to the scientific method, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, is unverifiable, or otherwise lacks scientific status. Pseudo-sciences generally share these characteristics:

- Use vague, exaggerated or untestable claims

- Create scientific-sounding terms in order to add weight to claims and to persuade non-experts to believe statements that are false or meaningless.

- Fail to progress toward evidence to support their claims.

- Irrational beliefs are held by the tight social groups that center around an authoritarian personality, promote groupthink, and suppress dissention.

- Rely on sources that are in agreement with their beliefs while discounting any refutations and attacking the motives or character of anyone who questions their claims.

- Critics are viewed as the enemy

- Lack openness to testing by other experts in the field

- The rest of the scientific community is seen as conspirators who wish to suppress their truth

* A CULT. Like other cults, it . . .

Promotes an Us v. Them Mentality:

- Promotes itself as the only valid religion.

- Persons who are unable to successfully complete treatment (auditing) are regarded as insane.

- Members who don’t tow the line are blacklisted

- Non-Scientologists & defectors are called by derogatory terms (i.e. Wogs, Suppressed Persons)

- Hubbard promoted persecuting, lying to, destroying, and tricking all anti-Scientologists

Perverts the Truth:

- Newcomers are lied to, mislead, and not told the whole truth until higher levels.

- Ties with family and friends are "disconnected" if they express doubt about their love ones’ involvement.

- Hubbard promoted telling only "acceptable truth".

- Hubbard disguised Scientology as a "church" for the purposes of getting rich. He said, "I'd like to start a religion. That's where the money is."

Seeks Total Control of Members:

- Hubbard said, "never permit an ‘open-minded’ approach", and "Never let them be half-minded about being Scientologists"

- Scientologists assume that ordinary people are incapable and are, therefore, subject to being controlled by them.

- Low-level therapy is designed to get newcomers used to the idea of someone controlling them.

- Newcomers are hard-sold into the next level immediately after taking a "therapy" session.

- Newcomers must come to understand and believe what is being taught to the satisfaction of the Scientology Case Supervisor (called being "Thoroughly Checked Out").

- Members must constantly be working on "improving their condition."

- "Ethics formulas" are designed to get members to produce more, (i.e. make Scientology more money).

* OCCULT!

In an interview, Ron Hubbard Jr. said of his father: "... he thought of himself as the Beast 666 Incarnate." [Interviewer: "The devil?"]. Hubbard, Jr: "Yes. Aleister Crowley thought of himself as such. And, when Crowley died in 1947, my father then decided that he should wear the cloak of the beast; and become the most powerful being in the universe. (NOTE: Scientologists try to discredit the statement claiming it was said out of spite). However, Hubbard's dabblings in the occult and in Satanism are detailed in several books on Scientology, including Bare Faced Messiah. In The Philadelphia Doctorate Course, Hubbard, refers to "Aleister Crowley, my very good friend" and recommends his book, The Master Therion. (Tape #18, Dec 5, 1952).

* MENTALLY UnSOUND

Scientology is anti-Mental Health

- L. Ron Hubbard was a paranoid schizophrenic who, while perfecting his own brand of mind control, believed that the government, the psychiatric profession, and religion were all out to get him and wanted to steal his techniques in order to further their own mind control agendas. Thus, Scientology reflects Hubbard’s own anti-government, anti-religion, and anti-Mental Health sentiments.

- Mental Health professionals are viewed as the ultimate in evil and corruption--evil aliens from the fifth galactic invader force.

- Ritalin, Prozac, and other mental medications are viewed as never necessary and even as evil attempts to destroy mankind.

- Scientology’s front-group, the Citizen's Commission on Human Rights, is dedicated to disseminating misinforma-tion and filing unreasonable lawsuits against "psychs", in order to destroy the profession.

- This is merely Scientology’s attempt to ensure total mental control over its members, causing them to turn only to Scientology and its own special brand of brainwashing.

- Scientology’s Creed states: "We of the Church believe that the study of the mind and the healing of mentally caused ills should not be alienated from religion or condoned in non-religious fields." (italics added)

- Carl Sagan, in Demon Haunted World, said that L. Ron Hubbard "managed to create a written process that was capable of driving people insane."

* Deadly!

- Lisa McPherson (1995) Age 36, died in Scientology's Fort Harrison Hotel, where she was held for 17 days against her will. During that time, she tried to leave, became violent, and refused to eat. At time of death, she had bruises and abrasions on her body, and had lost more than 30 pounds in 17 days.

- "Operation Freak-Out" (1976) A plot to have Journalist, Paulette Cooper, imprisoned or committed to a mental institution in revenge for her book, The Scandal of Scientology. The FBI reported that Scientology operatives also tried to get her to commit suicide.

- Jeremy Perkins (2003) Age 28, paranoid schizophrenic who stabbed his mother 77 times. Perkins came to believe that his mother was evil and was out to get him. This brutal murder might not have occurred if he’d received treatment. but Jeremy ’s parents were devout Scientologists and strongly opposed psychiatric treatment.

- Richard Collins (1996) Age 24, threw himself 200 feet to his death after the cult refused to let him leave.

More Details on Scientology

What is Scientology?

SCIENTOLOGY IS: Eastern religion + Philosophy + Science Fiction

One on-line dictionary defines it as: A new religion founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 1955 and characterized by a belief in the power of a person's spirit to clear itself of past painful experiences through self-knowledge and spiritual fulfillment. (www.audioenglish.net)

According to its own literature, it is "the fastest growing spiritual self-betterment and reform group in the world."

It claims: "Man’s situation needed a solution and Scientology is that solution", providing "the essential answers to life".

What is Dianetics?

The best selling book by L. Ron Hubbard that formed the philosophical foundation and principles of Scientology.

WHAT DID ITS FOUNDER SAY ABOUT SCIENTOLOGY? (Notice the New Age catch phrases!)

The study of/science of knowledge [Gr. "gnosis = enlightenment]. "Knowing how to know", in order that man can come to understand himself truly and fully so that he can bring peace with sanity to his earthly existence. [harmony]. The "study of man as a spirit in his relationship to life and the physical universe" [microcosm/macrocosm]. "A religious philosophy…concerning itself with man and his relation to the Supreme Being [God/universe] and life, bringing man to total freedom and truth." [enlightenment]. [bracketed phrases added].

SCIENTOLOGY TERMINOLOGY

XENU: Cruel galactic ruler who banished Thetans to earth 75 million years ago. His anger was fueled in part because his parents favored his younger brother Zima's "clear" behavior.

ENGRAM: A posited memory trace that remains after a moment of pain and unconsciousness as a result of something that happened in the past (past lives) to the pre-clear (a person not yet "cured" by Scientology).

REACTIVE MIND: The place where Engrams are stored. (On higher levels, Engrams are revealed to be Body Thetans or evil spirits infesting our bodies by the thousands and needing to be exorcised).

MOTIVATOR: Negative impact of having prior overts (undisclosed "crimes").

E-METER (electrometer): a lie detector type device with a needle and soup cans for electrodes used to locate overts, body thetans, and engrams.

The auditor watches the needle and the E-meter acts as a guide that enables "confession", by supposedly telling the auditor what the preclear's mind is doing when he is made to think of something.

AUDITING: Using Scientology "therapy" on a pre-clear.

AUDITOR: The Scientology "therapist" who uses an E-meter and asks questions of the pre-clear and takes down notes.

OBJECTIVES OF AUDITING

EXTERIORIZE: To leave the body. Scientologists believe we can step outside our bodies in the form of a disembodied "Thetan" or spirit, and hover about looking at things. This is deemed to be a very important goal of every Scientologist, usually only obtained at the highest levels. Those who have left the cult claim it is an induced hallucination.

OPERATING THETAN: A spirit that has achieved "theta clear" as a result of auditing and is now able to operate outside the body and without dependency on physical objects (no longer a "BODY THETAN"). He is above M.E.S.T. (the illusory physical world of matter, energy, space & time) having become re-familiarized with his capabilities. (Scn 8-8008, p. 9, 114) 5. ... the [OT] thetan is immortal and is possessed of capabilities well in excess of those hitherto predicted for man.

CLEARED THETA CLEAR (THE ULTIMATE OBJECTIVE): The next level above theta clear ("cleared" of the need to have a body): He has full recall of everything (in past lives) and full ability as a thetan (immortal spirit). He can handle M.E.S.T. universe objects without mechanical means. This person is able to create his own universe; or, if still living in the M.E.S.T. universe, can create illusions perceivable to others at will.

NOTE: We can see, herein, the same ideas conveyed in the New Age, New Thought & Mind Science movements, as well as in the Occult: The ideas of Enlightenment, Re-incarnation, Astral Projection, Creating one’s own "universe" (God), etc.

SCIENTOLOGY IS NEO-GNOSTICISM (NEW AGE)

- That Scientology is a hodge podge of Hubbard’s study of a variety of beliefs systems--particularly those of Far Eastern origin--is well documented.

- Hubbard claimed that the Bible once taught Reincarnation but that it was expunged from the text The Synod of Constantinople. NOTE: HUBBARD WAS WRONG! The Synod condemned the teachings of Origen as heretical. Origen taught the pre-existance of souls and salvation for all souls, including the devil--NOT reincarnation.

- The Creed of the Church of Scientology states: We of the Church believe that his [man’s] survival depends upon himself and upon his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe. (italics added)

SCIENTOLOGY IS A CULT. In typical cult fashion, it:

PROMOTES US v. THEM MENTALITY:

- Attempts to coerce people into believing that Scientology is the only valid religion.

- Uses derogatory terms for non-Scientologists (Wogs) & defectors (Suppressed Persons).

- Claims in-auditable persons are insane.

- Justifies persecuting, lying to, destroying, and tricking anti-Scientologists.

- Practices blacklisting of members who don’t tow the line

PERVERTS THE TRUTH:

- Ties with family and friends are often severed (Disconnection), esp. if they express doubt about person’s involvement.

- Hubbard promoted telling only "acceptable truth" and intended to disguise Scientology as a church

- Necomers are lied to, mislead, and not told the whole truth until higher levels.

- Hubbard planned to start a religion to get rich: "I'd like to start a religion. That's where the money is.")

SEEKS TOTAL CONTROL OVER MEMBERS:

Scientologists assume that ordinary people are incapable and are, therefore, subject to being controlled by them. Hubbard said:

- "Never permit an 'open-minded' approach"

- "Never let them be half-minded about being Scientologists"

MEMBERS MUST PRODUCE FOR THE GROUP:

- Newcomers’ every action and step is controlled.

- Newcomers are hard-sold into the next level immediately after taking a "therapy" session.

- Newcomers must come to understand and believe what is being taught to the satisfaction of the Scientology Case Supervisor (called "Thoroughly Checked Out").

- Low-level therapy is designed to get newcomers used to the idea of someone controlling them.

- Members must constantly be working on "improving their condition."

- Ethics formulas are designed to get members to produce more, (i.e., make more money for group).

SCIENTOLOGY IS ANTI-MENTAL HEALTH (Anyone see Tom Cruise’s interview with Matt Lauer?)

- "We of the Church believe that the study of the mind and the healing of mentally caused ills should not be alienated from religion or condoned in non-religious fields." (Creed of the Church of Scientology )

- Mental Health professionals are viewed as the ultimate in evil and corruption.

- Ritalin, Prozac, and other mental medications are viewed as never necessary and even as evil attempts to destroy mankind.

- Scientologists see mental health professionals as evil aliens from the fifth galactic invader force.

- Scientology’s front-group, the Citizen's Commission on Human Rights, is dedicated to disseminating misinformation and filing unreasonable lawsuits against "psychs", in order to destroy the profession.

- The truth is that this is merely an attempt, by Scientology, to ensure that they don't lose the grip on their members and that members will turn only to them and their special brand of brainwashing.

- Carl Sagan, in Demon Haunted World, said that L. Ron Hubbard "managed to create a written process that was capable of driving people insane."

SCIENTOLOGY KILLS!

Lisa McPherson (1995)

Died at the age of 36, in Scientology's Fort Harrison Hotel, where she was held for 17 days against her will. During that time, she tried to leave, became violent, and refused to eat. At the time of her death, she had bruises and abrasions on her body, and she had lost over 30 pounds in just 17 days

"Operation Freak-Out"

1976 Covert plot to have Journalist Paulette Cooper imprisoned or committed to a mental institution in revenge for her book, The Scandal of Scientology. FBI and other records report that Scientology operatives tried to get Cooper to commit suicide.

Jeremy Perkins (2003)

The 28 year old untreated paranoid schizophrenic stabbed his Jmother 77 times. Perkins came to believe that his mother was evil and out to get him. Experts say the brutal murder might never have occurred, had he received treatment to control his psychotic delusions. But Jeremy ’s parents were devout Scientologists and their religion strongly opposes psychiatric treatment.

Richard Collins (1996)

Age 24, threw himself 200 feet to his death after the cult of Scientology refused to let him leave.

And, many, many, more . . . Go to: www.whyaretheydead.net

SCIENTOLOGY IS OCCULTIC

- Hubbard's dabblings in the occult are detailed in several books on Scientology.

- In The Philadelphia Doctorate Course, Hubbard, refers to "Aleister Crowley, my very good friend" and recommends his book, The Master Therion. (Tape #18, Dec 5, 1952).

- Ron Hubbard Jr., of his father: "... he thought of himself as the Beast 666 Incarnate." Interviewer: "The devil?" Hubbard, Jr: "Yes. Aleister Crowley thought of himself as such. And when Crowley died in 1947 my father then decided that he should wear the cloak of the beast; and become the most powerful being in the universe. (NOTE: Scientologists try to discredit the statement claiming it was said out of spite).

- Hubbard's early association with Satanism prior to his release of Dianetics is documented in Bare Faced Messiah.

THE CROSS OF SCIENTOLOGY

Scientology claims that the 8 points represent the 8 "dynamics of life", but the cross of Scientology and Aleister Crowley’s "crossed out cross" are eerily similar. The two crosses are shown side-by-side in the picture section of "L.Ron Hubbard: Messiah or Madman", Bent Corydon, 1987. There are also eerily similar photos of Hubbard and Crowley in the book.

Scientology claims to be compatible with Christianity, but:

- Scientology’s Creed states: "We of the Church believe that the spirit can be saved and that the spirit alone [the human spirit] may save or heal the body. (italics added)

- Scientology spokesperson, Leisa Goodman: We are not a turn-the-other-cheek religion."

- Hubbard: I don't know how they found it [Christianity]; either by watching madmen or something. But since that time they have used it. And it became what is known as Christianity." (Class 8 Auditor's Course)

- Hubbard denied the existence of Christ and claimed that to respond to Christ is is to be under the control of a false memory implant that was imposed on everyone on earth 75M years ago.

- Christian Scientologists must eventually renounce Christianity if they are to reach Scientology's highest levels.

OTHER ANTI-CHRISTIAN TEACHINGS OF L RON HUBBARD:

- Hubbard: Heaven is another false memory given to us by an evil "Creator of Heaven".

- Hubbard said he hoped the Creator of Heaven was GONE: "That guy is GONE (I hope!)." (HCO BULLETIN OF 5/11/63)

- "We of the Church believe that man is basically good" (Scientology Creed)

- Hubbard: "It is dispicable and utterly beneath contempt to tell a man he must repent, that he is evil."

- Hubbard: Christianity is mind control that "succeeded by making people into victims."

- Hubbard: Christianity is a particularly nefarious religion: "chaos resulting from the activities…of one operating thetan [Jesus] 2,000 years ago."

- Hubbard: "the Christian religion cannot possibly be true" because it seeks to save souls that are actually demons. (Hubbard, 1958 Videotape, Clearing Congress Lecture)

WHAT HUBBARD SAID ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

- Hubbard: Christ (like God, the devil, heaven, etc.) was a myth fabricated by space aliens to deceive Man from realizing his true nature.

- Hubbard: "You will find the cross as a symbol all over the universe, and the Christ legend as implant in pre-clears a million years ago.", (Prof. Auditors Bulletins, v. 2, p. 26, 1954)

- "Clears" are spiritual equals to Jesus Christ.

- Hubbard: "There was no Christ. But the man on the cross is shown as Everyman." (Class VIII Auditor Course, "Krakatoa and Beyond" 10/3/68)

- Hubbard: "THE HISTORIC Jesus was not nearly the sainted figure he has been made out to be. In addition to being a lover of young boys and men, he was given to uncontrollable bursts of temper and hatred…"

- Hubbard: "Christ died for his own sins." (Saint Hill tape #12).
