The 2009 season ended over  a month ago but the site hasn't been updated the Canes put up a awesome fight Coming through the losers bracket after losing a heart breaker, To lose in the Championship. On the way back to the title game the Canes beat the Cudas for the final time and forced a title game with Claytons team but Was shut down but Eric Clyaton in the title game. The canes had good offensive games from some top hitters and Greg Neely threw alot of tough inning Jim tucker also threw a great game against Claytons team and Travis Kerber battled out there for us. The Canes go back to work 

The Hurricanes lost a tough one Sunday blowing a lead in the Top of the 7th. The canes gave up 2 runs in the Top of the 7th to Claytons team Sunday then Jon Sertich came out and closed out the game Clayton's team now await the Winner of Match up of 2 teams that have taken the Last 2 Roy Hobbs league titles. The Barracudas advanced with a defeat of the Hawks now have to Turn around and play on 3 days rest.

Greg Neely was awsome Weds. Night at the Sportsplex Striking out 16 in a 2-1 victory over the Preformance Enhancers. Greg pitched through a blister on his pitching finger. Mike Reiser had a RBI Double in the first to score Sean MaCarthy and Josh Cobb who recorded 2 BB Garnered enough attention at first Where Chris Jensen Threw a pick off attempt away allowing Josh to go from 1st to 3rd and Scoring on a passed ball The 2 runs were all the Canes Need, For a victory The Canes Move on to the Finals were they will face the winner of the Rebels and Clayton's team.

The Hurricanes go in tothe 2009 playoffs as the #1 seed and will get a bye. First they have the seeding game which was postponed and has delayed the playoofs one day. The Canes will face the Preformance Enhancers who beat the Cudas 8-7 in a nail biter Monday night. The Canes will send Ace Greg Neely to the Bump Greg is undefeated on the Season The entire Canes staff will be ready for relief. The PE's pitcher is unknow but Ace Chris Jensen did not pitch in the Game Monday which featured Brandon Norris, Jeremy R and Bret Jensen.

The Hurricanes 2009 baseball season has been marked by the Long ball it started off with Mike Reiser getting in the first 2 losses. It was followed by a explosion. Tony Reiser has 2 Mike Alvarado has 2 Greg White knock 2 and 1 in his final game before leaving for School Kyle ferber had 1 in a game where he was a double away from the cycle Lupus hit one in a blow out win over the rebels he also hit one in the Canes scrimmage against the porter county Irish off of all area pitcher Waylon Roach. Nick Parojcic Tomahawked one out this weekend and Ken Sroka added to his all time RHL record with a bomb this has been the most prolific home run season for the Canes lets keep it up.

The Hurricanes all but locked up the #1 Seed for the 2009 playoffs with a very tough winning streak. The Canes hold wins over every team in the league and have sweep the Season Series between the Cudas and the Hawks they will be looking for the Sweep over Claytons team next Sat. they lost only  1 series against the Rebels. In a match up of 2 ofthe RHL best the Canes and Cudas squared off again with the Canes winning and Greg Neely picking up another win remaining unbeaten on the year. The Cudas pitch Nick Bozetti. Kyle Ferber was 2-2 with a BB Mike Reiser was 2-3 with 2 RBI's Kevin Horst was also 2-3 moving his Canes high Batting Avg to 636

THE MAKE UP GAME VS THE CUDAS WILL BE jULY 18TH

The Hurricanes ended there 2 week layoff in a rude awaking. The Rebels beat the Hirricanes for the second time this season giving the Canes both of there losses. The Canes plYED SLOPPY DEFENSE AGAIN AGAINST the Reb's making 6 errors over 6 inings. But not to be out Done Rebels New Ace Lance Losinsky Who went 5 striking out 13 out of 15 outs giving up 0 Runs.

The Hurricanes had there worst  game of the year and maybe of all time on the Base paths where 5 Hurricanes Runners the victims of bad base running. The Canes Still won the Game but it was very ugly check out the Review.

After a slow start with our bats The Hurricanes Came away witht there first 12 run rule of the season The Hawks had a rough time finding the strike zone in the first Inning When the Canes Batted around. The Canes Defense also looked good turning thier first double play of the season. Jim Tucker picked up his first win of the season. With Josh Cobb and Kyle Ferber working in relief.

In a game where emotions were high Greg Neely Went 6 2/3 of No hit ball and before that giving up a single in the 7th and gave up a walk in the fifth. The Canes scored 6 on Cudas Ace Marc Norton and 2 off Billy Reiser. Kyle Ferber stayed Hot going 2-2 and Kevin Horst was 2-3

The Hurricanes lost Weds night despite a great pitching display from Kyle Ferber, Jim Tucker and Nick Havens. The Canes defense committed 8 errors resuting in 6 unearned runs. The Full game Summary will be in tonight

it has  been awhile since my last post  but with practice and 2 kids I lose alot of my time. Since we last posted We lost one of our new guys Jason Mikalokus due to time. But since then we picked up 2 very high level College players in Josh Cobb from Boone Grove and Nick Havens from Wheeler both All area team memebers and All state in there respective class. We also have our Schedule posted We will open up with Former Barracudas Great Jeremy Hogges New team the HAWKS.

We got our Money in and We are ready to go. The league will have 5 teams this season which is a upgrade from the 4 we had last year. We lost the Stone Cutters. But we added the Hawks who wil be run by former Barracuda Jeremy Hogge and the other will be a team from Boone Grove. It should be a exciting season.

The managers metting went well. the laegue is trying to add new teams We are trying to help Jeremy Hogge a team. the money will be due March 20th We are looking to return the 2009 team. I love the guys we had out and even though we were not the Champions It was great time.

The Hurricanes Power Exploded  Kyle Ferber hit 1 recently with a explosion of Home runs. The team was lead early on by Mike Reiser who got 2 right off the bat and Kevin horst added 1. The over the last 4 Games the canes bats have come to life with power It started with Mike Alvarado and Greg White goiing yard in the same Game Then Ken Sroka had a solo shot.Then this past weekend the Canes go hot Tony Reiser got 2 Alvarado hit another 1 and kyle Ferber hit one and was a double away from the cycle.
