World War Two Poems

Written During and after WW2 By K Lowe/Oliver

BETRAYAL

BETRAYAL 2004

Walking round blind,

With a load on my mind

And a tumour on my nose.

With bags on my eyes,

And terror in the skies -

In these G damned outsourced clothes.

New Chinese shoes on my feet -

But the rain and the sleet

Comes in thro’ these hollow heels with holes

Oh isn’t life grand

With Union Jack (or Old Glory) in our hand,

While feeding our souls to the crows.

.

.

.

Remember things can get worse -
