Your announcers this evening are Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler! They say a quick hello and run down tonights card:
PLUS: Tonight we'll hear from former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar!
We head backstage where WFW interviewer, Darrin Granter, is interviewing the PWInsider Elite entrants to the battle royal. Joe Spunkz cracks his knuckles and gives a high five to Matt Meola. George Dafnos and Chris Cutrer are talking strategy. John Keane, Matt Zylbert, and Mike Leblanc are standing front and center. Darrin asks them about strategy and Matt starts to explain how much work they have ahead of them when we hear a crash. In comes Ryan Ross. Good old JR comments that Ryan writes the Ross Report on PWInsider. Ryan enters and shakes hands with Keane, Zylbert, and Leblanc. He pops Darrin on the shoulder and tells him he's looking at the new champion. Then he calls everybody's attention. He reminds that the 10 of them have to knock out 10 wrestlers as well as each other to vye for the title. He proposes that they gang up on the wrestlers and make sure he is in the final two, since he's got the best chance to win. He runs off and Darrin says to the guys "Sorry, we're out of time..." and we're off to the ring!
Battle Royal to determine the contenders to the WFW title
Wrestlers (AJ Styles, Shane Douglas, New Jack, Bam Bam Bigelow, Jeff
Jarrett, Konnan, Perry Saturn, Sting, Blue Meanie and Sabu) & PWInsider
Elite Group Members (Ryan Ross, George Dafnos, Joe Randazzo, John Keane, Joe
Spunkz, Matt Zylbert, Chris Cutrer, Mike LeBlanc, Matt Meola and Cawthorne)
are in the ring as Mike Askounes reminds us that the last two participants in
the ring will meet later tonight to become the first ever WFW Heavyweight Champion!
The bell sounds and we are underway. Ryan Ross high fives all the Elite members and charges the wrestler, but none of the elite members follow him. New Jack knocks him down and immediately all of the Elite group members gang up on Ryan, beating him down with punches and kicks. When he stands up, they pick him up like they’re in a mosh pit and throw him out of the ring and he lands with a crash through the Spanish announce table! We hear him curse out his “friends” as the refs escort him back to the locker room area, and the rest of the contestants begin pounding on each other. In one corner, Sting is going to town on Jeff Jarrett, while New Jack is bashing John Keane with a steel pipe. In the middle of the ring, Mike LeBlanc and the Blue Meanie are exchanging fists with each other, while Matt Zylbert and Matt Meola are fighting over who has more “Mattitude”. We have out next elimination as Bam Bam Bigelow clotheslines Cawthorne over the rope and on to the floor, and the two exchange words, which distracts Bam Bam long enough for Shane Douglas and AJ Styles to hit him with a double suplex. Douglas offers a handshake to AJ, but instead hits him with a low blow followed by a double underhook suplex. Our next elimination happens as Joe Spunkz whips Joe Randazzo into the corner and charges in with a clothesline, but Randazzo ducks and shoulder lifts Spunkz over the corner and to the floor. In the center of the ring, Mike LeBlanc hits Sabu with a running powerslam, and then proceeds to do the Garvin stomp, while Sting gorilla press slams Jeff Jarret and then hits him with the Scorpion Death Drop. Meanwhile, Matt Zylbert hits Matt Meola with a flying tackle and throws him over the top rope, while Blue Meanie has just crotched Joe Spunkz with the steel pipe; Bam Bam, Douglas and LeBlanc combine with each other to throw the Meanie over top rope eliminating him from the match. Meanwhile Sting throws Jarrett over the top rope, but Jeff is jawing at Sting and jumps on the apron to attack him, and this allows Perry Saturn to lift Sting over the rope, thus eliminating one of the favorites. Sting and Jarrett continue to brawl back to the locker room.
The field has been thinned to 12 participants. AJ Styles hits George Dafnos with the Styles Clash and goes for a running tackle, but Dafnos gets up near the ropes and the impact of the dropkick throws both men over the top rope, and both are eliminated. Meanwhile, AJ Styles throws John Keane over the top rope, but he lands on the ring apron and manages to hiptoss Styles to the floor and eliminates him from contention. Keane then climbs to the top rope and nails Bam Bam Bigelow with a missile dropkick, knocking him out cold, while in the corner New Jack, Saturn and Joe Randazzo are trying to throw out Bam Bam Bigelow. He nails Jack with a kick to the sternum, but Randazzo and Saturn are able to throw the Bammer over the top rope to the floor. Mike LeBlanc has put Chris Cutrer in the Wringer submission hold, and clotheslines him to the floor, eliminating him from the match, while Konnan and John Keane are brawling with each other near the ropes, and this allows Joe Randazzo to lift them both over the top tope and to the floor. Now the three remaining group members and three remaining wrestlers have huddled up to discuss a strategy. Joe Randazzo goes to work on Sabu, Matt Zylbert cleans Saturn’s clock and Mike LeBlanc is pounding on New Jack. Randazzo manages to hit Sabu with a short clothesline and a running powerslam, but Sabu counters with a groin kick and Arabian facebuster. Sabu attempts to throw Joe over the top rope, but Zylbert kicks Sabu in the back, and Randazzo falls to the mat. Then the two of them pick up Sabu and throw him to the floor, taking Sabu out of the equation, and the two of them shake hands, and begin to flail their fists at each other. In the corner, LeBlanc hits New Jack with a tornado DDT and easily picks him in a fireman’s carry and dump him over the top rope.
So we are down to the final four contestants, and two of them will be in the championship match! Joe Randazzo charges at Perry Saturn and hits him with a running clothesline followed by a shoulderbreaker, but Saturn quickly regains the edge with a boot to the face followed by a Death Valley Driver. He then slingshots Joe into the corner, and his momentum carries him over the top rope to the floor. Matt Zylbert and Mike LeBlanc are now fighting each other over who writes the better column, and Matt whips Mike into the corner and hits him with a running dropkick and stomps him in the face. LeBlanc manages to get up and pushes Zylbert into the corner and hits him with right hands, followed by a whip into the ropes and a powerslam. As Matt & Mike are fighting, Saturn creeps up and clotheslines them both over the top rope and to the floor, but it is unclear who hit the floor first. Mike Askounes announces that the referee will be using video replay to determine who hit the floor first, and the announcement will come later in the program. Winners of the 20 man Battle Royal and contestants for the heavyweight title: Perry Saturn and either Matt Zylbert or Mike LeBlanc at 27:45.
We head backstage again where Darrin is interviewing Genera Goldsborough who will be contesting for the women's title. Genera claims she'll win the title and dedicate it to the fighting men and women of the US armed forces. She claims Lita doesn't have a chance, because she has a new finisher that she plans to be using. Darrin wishes her good luck. She hugs Darrin and heads off to the ring.
Women's Title Match: Genera Goldsborough vs. Lita
Genera enters through the crowd waving the stars and stripes. Lita charges Genera
right away and Genera does a drop toe hold and Lita tumbles right out of the
ring! Lita looks more embarassed than hurt and jumps up to the apron. Genera
shoulder blocks her midsection between the ropes and then suplexes her into
the ring. Lita gets up slowly and Genera hits a russian leg sweep so proficient
it shows she's been studying Bret Hart videos. She goes for a cover, but Lita
kicks at 2. She picks Lita up and Lita hits a STO. Lita picks her up and hits
a twist of fate and follows with a pin attempt, but Genera kicks out. Lita picks
her up and kicks her in the stomach and whips her into the ropes. They do the
criss-cross, and then Lita hits a flying clothesline. Genera is down and not
moving. Lita goes for the top turnbuckle and hits a picture perfect moonsault.
She looks at Genera and goes for the opposite turnbuckle. She waves to the crowd
and throws another moonsault, but Genera gets her knees up. Both Genera and
Lita are down and the referee starts the count. Lita gets up first and goes
for a suplex. Genera blocks and attempts her own. Lita blocks and goes for her
own suplex again and Genera blocks it and pushes Lita away. They look at each
other and Genera slaps the nasty look off of her face. Genera knocks her legs
out from under her and applies an STF. Lita eventually reaches the ropes and
the hold is broken. Genera lays Lita across the bottom rope and hits the opposite
rope and crushes Lita's head and torso against the rope. Lita gets up unsteady
and Genera attacks from behind and hits an impact DDT from the second rope.
Lita is out, lying in the middle of the ring with her body quivering. Genera
hits the pin for the 1-2-3 and we have a women's champion! As the referee holds
her hands up, Lita's body doesn't stop quivering and good old JR explains to
us that Genera calls this finisher the G-Spot! Winner and WFW Women's champion:
Genera Goldsborough at 11:34.
We're off backstage and Darrin is back excited that we have a new women's champion and a match for the world title later. He also tells us that the executive committee has reviewed the tape and come to a unanimous decision. Perry Saturn will face Michael Leblanc for the WFW Heavyweight championship, It will be "The Wringer" versus "The Rings of Saturn" for the title! He informs us he'd like to talk to the new women's champ, but we have another title match coming up!
The Fatal 4 Way Elimination match for the Tag Team titles: The Double
J’s (Jason Maier & JaggerKaye) w/ Joel Gertner vs. Ron & Don Harris
w/Naoya Ogawa vs. Raven & Sandman w/Sabu vs. 3 Live Kru (Ron Killings &
BG James) w/Konnan
Mike Askounes reminds the audience of the rules for this match which are two
teams start out in the ring, and participants can tag anyone from any team.
The contestants have 15 seconds to make physical contact or they will be disqualified.
The last team remaining will be declared the Tag Team champions. Also announced
is a special ringside enforcer for the match, and he is the PWInsider.com trivia
man Dan Israel, who makes his way to ringside. Killings & BG James are the
first team to enter the ring, and are soon followed by the Harris Brothers along
with Ogawa, while Raven slowly makes his way toward the ring, followed by the
Sandman, who is doing his usual entrance marching along and drinking his beer
while carrying another case with him. Prior to the final team coming out to
the ring, a man comes out on the entrance ramp, takes a microphone and announces:
“Yes, ladies and gentlemen, once again it is I, the quintessential studmuffin
Joel ‘just like a Rubik’s cube, the more you play with me the harder
I get’ Gertner and tonight my team, the Double J’s, will become
the new Tag Team champions.” At this point the crowd is going nuts as
Gertner continues: “Let me introduce the first man on my team, Jagger
‘he comes from hell's kitchen, he's got lots of class, there's no use
in bitchin', he's gonna kick some ass’ Kaye and here’s the next
member of the Double J’s, Jason ‘He's ready to go, he's flying high,
he should be happy, just had 8 kinds of pie’ Maier.” Jagger &
Jason both run towards the ring as the sound of George Thorogood's "Bad
to the Bone" blares throughout the arena. The bell sounds and soon all
four teams are in a huge brawl with Jason pounding on Ron Harris, while Killings
and BG James are double teaming Jagger and Raven & Sandman have double clotheslined
Don Harris.
This all out brawl continues for a couple of minutes until the referee and the enforcer, Dan Israel, are able to get all four teams into their respective corners and get the match started. As mentioned earlier, by virtue of the coin flips in the back, 3 Live Kru and the Harris Brothers are the first two teams to start the match. Ron Harris and Killings lock up first in a collar and elbow tie up, but Ron is able to gain an advantage by pushing Killings into a corner, and while the ref counts for the break, Ron hits a knee shot to the lower abdomen just above the belt. Harris then follows up with some forearm shots to the back and whips Killings into the ropes, where he ducks a clothesline attempt and hits Ron back with a flying shoulder tackle. Killings then starts an offense of his own, stomping Ron’s legs and sternum, then picking him up and hitting an inverted atomic drop followed by a neckbreaker, and Killings goes for a pin attempt but Ron kicks out at 2. Killings then tags in Jagger, who picks up Ron into an airplane spin followed by a shoulderbreaker. He then puts Harris into a leglock, but Ron refuses to give in and makes it to the corner where he shockingly tags in Jagger’s partner Jason. The two partners are bewildered, as is Joel Gertner, and the special enforcer reminds them that if they don’t lock up in 15 seconds, they will be DQ’d. So after a silent debate, Jason puts Jagger in a headlock, and is then shot into the ropes, then Jagger ducks underneath and Jason rebounds and hits a shoulderblock. Jason quickly makes his way to another corner where he tags in Sandman, who hits Jagger with some right hands to the sternum, followed by a hiptoss and when Jagger gets up, a thumb to the eyes. As the ref warns Sandman, Raven sneaks in and drops Jagger's head to a chair with a drop toe hold. Sandman hits a legdrop and goes for a cover, but Jagger kicks out at 2. After a stomp to the midsection, Sandman tags in Raven. Raven picks up Jagger, and Jagger hits 3 hard inverted atomic drops and picks up Raven and carries him to the corner where he holds Raven in one arm over his should and cold cocks Killings with the other, then tags in BG James, bosyslamming Raven and dropping a knee on his head before he gets out of the ring. James kicks Raven in the shins, and he stumbles around in pain. Raven then goes on the offensive, hitting a running knee to the head, followed by forearm uppercuts, stiff right hands to head, and a flying fistdrop from the second rope, and then Raven goes for a pin, which is broken up by Konnan, who puts James’ leg on the rope. Now BG goes on the offensive with boots to the midsection, a headbut followed by his jab combo, crotch chop and right hand to finish off the series. He then hits a flying kneedrop from the second rope for a 2 count, and then as he runs off the ropes for a flying tackle, Sabu hits BG with a chair shot and he stumbles into the Raven Effect DDT for a successful pin. Ron Killings and BG James are eliminated at 12:37.
Three Live Kru is eliminated from the match and BG James is complaining about Sabu’s interference, but the team is forced to the backstage area by Dan Israel. Now Jason steps into the ring, and Raven clips out the knee, and Jason is stumbling around and Raven takes charge, hitting a charging clothesline, followed by kicks to the sternum, some punches to the face and a falling headbut to the knee. The ref asks Jason if he wants to give up, and he says no way, and Raven then goes for a flying fistdrop form the second rope, but Jason manages to get his right foot up and hit Raven in the forehead. He then gets up and even though his knee is hurt, Jason mounts an offense of his own, hitting Raven with a kneeshot to the nose, followed by forearm uppercuts and a whip into the corner and a charging clothesline. Raven falls flat on his face and Jason goes for the cover, but Raven kicks out at 2, after which Jason tags in Don Harris. Raven is still on his knees, and Don runs off of the ropes and hits an axe kick to the back of the head, followed by more stomps to the sternum, then Harris hits a cheap shot on Sandman, and while the ref is holding him back, Ron comes in and the brothers hit Raven with a double back suplex and double stomps and the two of them switch places in the ring. Don locks in an abdominal stretch, with Ron providing additional leverage, but Raven refuses to give in and powers out of the move with a hiptoss. He then runs off the rope and hits Don with a baseball slide dropkick to the shins, and then goes on another offensive series with a neckbreaker followed by a whip into the ropes and a powerslam on the rebound, after which Raven goes for a cover but Harris kicks out at 2. Raven & Don both tag in their respective partners, and Sandman kicks Ron in the gut several times and then follows up with right hands to the head. He then hits a backbreaker and a sidewalk slam and goes for the cover and gets a 2 count, after which Ron hits forearm shots to the back, then a whip of the ropes and a big boot to the face, which gets him yet another 2 count. Sandman then tag in Raven, who hits a heatbutt, followed by more kicks to the knee, then a flying clothesline from the second rope. Suddenly, from the backstage area, CM Punk & Julio Dinero run to ringside and start attacking Sabu, which draws the attention of Sandman because Punk is trying to steal his beer. As both refs attempt to separate everybody, Ron Harris hits Raven with a low blow followed by a flatliner for the pin. Sandman and Raven are eliminated at 24:35.
Only the Harris brothers and the Double J’s are left in the hunt for the Tag Team titles as Raven, Sabu and Sandman are still brawling with Punk & Dinero on the entrance ramp to the backstage area. Jagger now steps into the ring to face Ron Harris, and begins his offense by grabbing him in a side headlock, and Harris throws him into the ropes, but Jagger ducks underneath and hits a shoulder tackle. He then grabs Ron into an armbar, then follows through with a hiptoss, but misses a running elbow and Harris goes on offense now with kicks to the gut, and a falling headbutt below the belt. As the ref admonishes Ron, Don sneaks in and hits Jagger with a spinebuster, and Ron goes for a cover, but Jagger gets a shoulder up at the count of 2. Ron goes over to tag in Don, who immediately picks up Jagger and puts him in a backbreaker submission hold. Jagger refuses to submit, and the ref picks up his arm and drops it once, then twice, but on the third try Jagger is able to keep his arm up and breaks the hold with some heel kicks to the back. He then makes his way over to the corner and tags in Jason who puts the fists to Don and whips him into the ropes and follows through with a powerslam. He goes to make the cover, but the pin is broken up by Ron and soon all four men are brawling in the ring. Jagger throws Don over the tope rope to the floor and follows out to beat him some more, while special enforcer Dan Israel tries to get them back into the ring. In the ring, Jason whips Ron Harris into the corner, but the ref is in the way, and is knocked down. Ron stumbles out of the corner and Jason hits him with a reverse Death Valley driver, and he goes to make the pin, but there is no ref. As Jason checks on the ref, Ogawa enters the ring carrying a steel pipe in his hand and goes over to try and brain Jason with it, but special enforcer Dan Israel notices the attempted interference, and gets into the ring and blocks Ogawa, then KO’s him with a stiff roundhouse kick to the face. Jason makes his way to the top turnbuckle. Jagger climbs to the top and prepares for a belly to belly suplex. King tells JR that Jason has just been double crossed. Jagger hits the belly to bellyand as Jason goes through the air, he twists into a flying bodypress on Ron Harris for the pin to win the Tag Team titles! The winners and WFW Tag Team Champions: Jason Maier and Jagger Kaye at 29:48.
Darrin meets the Harris brothers backstage and they are livid! They demand a rematch but are pushed aside. Naoya Ogawa comes forward and pulls another japanese person with him. Ogawa says something and the other guy translates. Ogawa claims that he's been unjustly attacked and that Dan Israel had no business striking him. Sinced Dan thinks he's so tough, he reminds us that Dan never beat him in a judo match, so he challenges Dan to a best of 3 falls judo match at the next WrestleFest! He leaves and the translator and the Harris brothers leave with him.
Paul Belfi vs. Dick Trimmins
Instead of the normal version, we hear an odd warbling voice singing "Ain't
Talkin' about Love" as Paul Belfi heads to the ring with his new manager...
William Hung! Dick Trimmins heads to the ring and knocks Hung out of the ring.
Belfi goes crazy on him hitting him several times before whipping him across
the ring and hitting a Hot Shot. Belfi then hits the top turnbuckle and hits
the "Big Squash" for the pin. Winner by Big Squash: Paul Belfi
at 0:46.
After the match Belfi holds up all five fingers on both hands and JR reminds us that Belfi is telling the fans to listen to his show at sportstalkcleveland.com on May 5th when they'll also be on live radio...
Back to Darrin. He's there telling us he's looking forward to his next interview and Genera comes over holding the American flag and hugs Darrin. She holds up the flag and the belt and explains that the belt is for all the troops who are on the line for the rest of us! She knows she'll be a great champion and as long as she keeps hitting the G-spot, everything will be good!
Genera walks away and Darrin makes his way to the interview area where Brock Lesnar waits! Darrin asks Lesnar why he's here and Lesnar explains that he's here to challenge Dave Scherer to a match. If Scherer lasts 2 minutes with Lesnar (as he claims he can) Brock will leave him able to walk. Brock scowls at the camera and walks away. The Title match is next!
World Title match: Perry Saturn vs. Mike LeBlanc.
Prior to the match, highlights from the contender’s battle royal
are shown, including the close ending where Matt Zylbert’s foot hits the
floor just before Mike LeBlanc’s does. So Mike Askounes introduces us
to the two men lucky enough to survive the battle royal, Michael LeBlanc and
Perry Saturn. He also teases us about which move will gain the victory, the
Rings of Saturn or the Wringer?
The bell sounds and this match is underway, as LeBlanc and Saturn both size up each other in the middle of the ring. They lock up with a collar and elbow tie-up and back each other into the corner, and the ref calls for a break. Both men break cleanly, then Saturn hits Mike with a knee to the gut and a hiptoss. LeBlanc stands back up and Saturn grabs him in a hammerlock and “wrings” his arm hard, but Mike is able to reverse the hold and whips Saturn into the ropes and catches him with a standing shoulder tackle. Mike runs off the ropes and hops over Saturn, while he leapfrogs LeBlanc, but he subsequently rebounds off the ropes a second time and catches Perry with a running dropkick and Saturn rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. Mike attempts to suplex Saturn from the apron but Saturn blocks the try and counters with a headbutt to the sternum, followed by a slingshot into a sunset flip, but LeBlanc kicks out at 2. Mike now lays the boots to Saturn’s gut then follows with a running elbowdrop, after that he puts him in a leglock submission hold but Saturn makes it to the ropes and LeBlanc breaks the hold. Mike grabs Saturn in a side headlock, but Saturn counters with an atomic drop then charges at LeBlanc, who backdrops Saturn over the top rope and to the floor. LeBlanc slingshots himself over the top rope for a flying bodypress, but Saturn catches him and slams him on concrete floor. Saturn quickly rolls back into the ring as the ref begins to put the count on LeBlanc, but he manages to make it back into the ring at the count of 8. Saturn then whips LeBlanc into the corner and follows through with a charging clothesline. LeBlanc falls flat on his face, and Saturn goes for a cover but Mike kicks out at 2. Saturn whips LeBlanc into the ropes and catches him with a sleeperhold, which LeBlanc attempts to fight but the ref raises his arm once, twice and . . . no! LeBlanc is still in the match. He hits Saturn with some back elbows to the head followed by a back suplex, and now both men are down. The ref counts down both men, but Saturn is first to his feet and hits LeBlanc with right hands and a sidewalk slam. Saturn goes for a whip into the corner, but LeBlanc reverses the whip and charges in, however Saturn moves out of the way and Mike brains himself on the ring post. Saturn now picks up LeBlanc for the Death Valley Driver, but LeBlanc floats over and hits a neckbreaker. Instead of going for a pinfall, LeBlanc decides to put Saturn in the Wringer, and he cranks on the hold. It looks like Saturn is about to submit, but he makes his way to the ropes, which forces LeBlanc to break the hold. Saturn gets up and hits LeBlanc with a kick to the gut and successfully hits the DVD. He now goes over and puts LeBlanc in the Rings of Saturn, and LeBlanc is fighting the hold, trying to make it to the ropes but he shakes his head and submits. Our Winner and the first ever WFW Heavyweight Champion: Perry Saturn at 19:48.
Askounes presents the title belt to Perry Saturn, who then looks at his fallen challenger. It looks like Saturn may do a post match beatdown, but instead he picks up LeBlanc and the two warriors shake hands and congratulate each other on surviving the battle royal and on a hard championship match.
We're sent backstage to Darrin again, who's representing with the Four Horsemen. Dave says that Team Torch messed up their last PPV and they are ready to clean house. Mike adds that he's going to make what he did to Teddy Hart look like patty-cakes. Jess and Mike nod at each other and they all put their hands together and then head off to the entrance area. They are now constructing the steel cage around 2 adjacent ring areas.
Joel Gertner comes by with the Double J's and Darrin is so ecstatic he can hardly control himself! Darrin says that's the most incredible finisher he's ever seen. Jagger says "That's the Special J!" and Jason adds that they'll be seeing a lot more of it because they are the tag champions and intend to be fighting champions! Darrin congratulates them as they head off to celebrate. We are now ready for the main event!!
WAR GAMES: THE MATCH BEYOND!!!
The Four Horsemen (Dave Scherer, Buck Woodward, Mike Johnson, & Jess McGrath)
vs. Team Torch (Wade Keller, Jason Powell, Pat McNeill, & James Guttman)
Out first from The Horsemen is the captain Dave Scherer. Out first from Team Torch is Jason Powell. The minute Powell comes through the cage door he is hit with a baseball slide from the ring knocking him down. Scherer starts to take it to Powell and rams his face against the cage. After a side suplex from Scherer, Powell rolls under the ring for refuge. Scherer shakes the cage to pump up the crowd. He lifts the ring apron to look for Powell and is blasted with a fire extinguisher. Powell rolls out from under the ring and low blows Scherer. Powell pulls out a kendo stick and goes to town on Scherer. Scherer is reeling when Powell grates his head against the side of the cage. Powell throws a now bleeding Scherer into the ring and climbs in behind him. Powell climbs in as well and the door is shut. With the ring of the bell we are officially under way and we already have one man, Four Horsemen captain Dave Scherer, busted wide open.
Powell starts to work over Scherer pounding his head into the mat repeatedly. Powell showboats to the crowd and then gives a kick to Scherer putting him back down on the mat. Powell drags Scherer over to the cage and grates his face up against the steel mesh. Scherer screams in pain. Powell showboats again, but this time when he comes back over to Scherer, Scherer sweeps out his legs. Scherer and Powell get up and Scherer nails Powell with some right hands. However, Powell counters with a stiff shot to the bloody Scherer and then drives him down into the mat with a running bulldog.
We cut backstage where Mike Johnson and James Guttman are standing awaiting the coin toss to determine who gets the next man in. The coin goes into the air and Guttman calls out "heads." The coin lands...tails side up. Johnson runs out to the ring. Johnson enters the cage and goes right after Powell. Johnson and Powell trade punches while Scherer rolls to the corner hurting. Johnson knees Powell in the abdomen and nails him with a gut wrench suplex. Johnson hits the ropes and comes back only to miss an elbow drop. Both men up and Powell lifts Johnson slamming his head off the roof of the cage. Johnson is dazed and Powell nails him with a roundhouse kick.
James Guttman comes out from the back. Guttmann enters the cage and he and Powell proceed to double team Mike Johnson. Johnson is split with a wishbone. Scherer, back on his feet, charges and takes down Guttmann with a clothesline. Scherer and Powell start to brawl and Scherer nails a belly-to-belly suplex. Scherer picks up Powell and lifts him onto his shoulder. Scherer charges the cage, but Powell slides off the back and shoves The Four Horsemen captain into the steel mesh. Guttmann slams Johnson off the other side of the cage. As Johnson bounces back towards Guttmann and Powell the Torch duo nail him with a Dudley Death Drop.
Just then, Buck Woodward runs out from the back. Woodward enters the ring in a fury and begins to take it to the Torch duo in one on two fashion. Alternating between Powell and Guttmann, Buck throws right hands knocking the men down to the mat. Buck then grabs hold of Powell by the throat and drives him into the mat with a chokeslam. Buck lets out a Chewbacca yell, but is immediately hit from behind with a chop block from Guttmann. Guttmann goes to work on the knee of Buck Woodward. However, Mike Johnson sneaks in a dropkick to the back of Guttmann propelling him face first into the steel cage. Guttmann is the second to be busted wide open as a resutl.
Wade Keller, Team Torch's Captain, comes out from the back and enters the ring. Keller goes right at Dave Scherer and the two men brawl alone in the second ring. Powell nails Buck Woodward with a low blow to momentarily stop the big man. Powell is then met with a kick and a piledriver from Mike Johnson. Johnson then turns to Guttmann who nails him with a fist loaded with brass knuckles. Johnson collapses to the mat. Guttmann mounts Johnson and starts to pound on his skull with the knucks...eager to see blood.
As blood starts to run from Mike Johnson's head, we also get a third member of The Four Horsemen in blood. However, this one is a surprise. The camera cuts to Jess McGrath laid out in the back in a pool of his own blood. Officials are tending to McGrath, who JR speculates doesn't have a shot at making it to the ring for this match. King ponders if a replacement will come out to fill McGrath's void or if The Horsemen will have to go at it 4 on 3. Scherer has control of Keller locking him up in an abdominal stretch and using the ropes for leverage. Johnson is laid out bleeding. Buck Woodward is working on Jason Powell in a corner with a choke on him, but Guttmann is pounding Woodward from behind trying to help his teammate.
Out from the back comes Pat McNeill. McNeill carries with him a bag. McNeill enters the ring and goes over to Mike Johnson. McNeill then removes two sets of handcuffs from the bag. Johnson is picked up off the mat and each arm is handcuffed to the cage. Buck throws Guttman off of him with brute strength. Buck then delivers a Dusty elbow to Powell to drop him in the corner. Buck turns and nails a charging McNeill with a big boot. Buck picks up the bag and dumps out its contents. Four more sets of handcuffs fall to the ring. Buck proceeds to pick up McNeill and handcuff each of his arms to the cage. Buck turns around and gets caught by a Powell/Guttmann 3D. The torture of Keller continues in the other ring with Scherer driving him into the cage repeatedly. However, Scherer's focused dismantling of Keller causes him to miss Powell and Guttmann using the last two pairs of handcuffs to secure Buck to the side of the cage.
Scherer drives Keller into the mat with a double arm DDT that leaves him laying motionless. As he stands up he turns to the other ring to realize that Buck, Mike, and McNeill are all incapacitated. JR says that it is two on one for now, but when Keller can regain his wits it will be three on one. King says Scherer is in for a world of hurt...JR is afraid King is right.
There's a big commotion and Brock Lesnar is coming through the crowd. He hops the rail and the referee refuses to let him in, so Brock throws the referee into the crowd and enters the cage. JR reminds us now that it's about to be 4 on 1! Brock clocks Mike Johnson and Buck Woodward, then heads straight for Dave Scherer. He calls grabs Dave and hits an elbow shot to the back several times, then hits an F5. He picks Dave up and hits another F5.
Suddenly, out from the back comes Ryan Ross. Ross is brandishing a weapon...the weapon, a solid steel chair. Ryan Ross charges the ring to an explosion from the crowd. Powell, Guttmann, and Lesnar escape. Ross helps Scherer to his feet. Scherer and Ryan Ross stair eye to eye, and smile at one and other. Scherer calls for the chair and Ryan Ross tosses it to him. Scherer catches the chair, and then Ryan Ross explodes with a Van Daminator smashing the chair back into his face. Buck Woodward tries to come at Ryan Ross, but is bound to the cage... forced to watch in agony. Mike Johnson, also bound to the cage, is still out cold. Jess McGrath is nowhere to be found. Wade Keller crawls over and locks Scherer in a crippler crossface. Ross places the chair on Scherer's head and drop kicks it 3 times. JR screams "By gawd, their turning Scherer inside out." Scherer's hand smacks the mat repeatedly tapping out.
Team Torch celebrates in victory, and release McNeill from the handcuffs. Ryan Ross adds insult by slapping Mike Johnson. Ross then goes over to Buck and spits in his furious face. Ross then puts a foot on the chest of Scherer and holds his arms into the air. The fans are throwing debris at Ross and Team Torch. However, the despicable quintet is protected from the rage of the fans by the very thing that was supposed to be their demise....The War Games cage.
