We all know how tack cleaning can be the most tidious of barn work. And ya need saddles & harnesses to be properly cleaned & maintained in order to keep it in good working order. Well,,,,,maybe I can help. I have 30 yrs. of horse experience. That means I've cleaned A LOT of tack,,,from pleasure riding saddles to racing harnesses to racing saddles. I'm located around Sherwood, Ark.,,,so for now, only locals can probably use my services. (Gravel Ridge, Jacksonville, or in the areas are preferred) I can travel up to 15-20 miles, depending on work or pay. I'm available full or part-time. I've done this as a side job when I worked as a trail guide (in Southern Indiana). And my customers were very satisfied. I have worked with various types of horses. I've worked for top names & trainers in harness racing. I've also worked with thoroughbreds & show horses. Now I'd like to get back into working with horses again. But would still like to get a cleaning service going. My prices (I've been told) are very reasonable. Depending on usage or how dried out the leather may be. Years ago I had to clean a harness that hung in a barn for about 10-15 years, (you can imagine how dried out it was). Alot of it went in the trash. But, I did manage to save about half of it. And to this day those pieces are still in use as part of a training harness.
I also do alot of extra barn work, years ago at the race track as side work I fed horses (some stables had up to 40 head),,,did Sunday (or anytime) stall cleaning (which included cleaning water buckets & feed tubs) for a price. Which I never had any complaints about my price. I also cleaned harnesses IF needed. So,,,if ya need some help & if you're in my area, gimme a holler. I'm dyin' to get back in the saddle again. (Before my saddle rides off without my me! LOL)
