WHAT IS ANIME & MANGA?

ANIME?

Well to start off... WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL YOUR LIFE!? Anime is very popular, even though it's mainly based in Japan, it has been influenced to us westerners a lot! To cut it short, anime is japanese animation/cartoons. You most probably grew up watching it before school or on TV without realizing it, like: Pokemon, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon & many more.
I find anime a lot more entertaining then normal cartoons, especially since animes are normally series, unlike cartoons. Plus the drawings are much better! and you've got to love that Japanese style aye :)!
A lot of anime you can watch on the internet :P! But some are shown on TV, like on Cartoon Network, though they have cut most of their anime off their channel. Just look around :D!

MANGA?

Okay, I won't start this one off as WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL YOUR LIFE!?! Because manga isn't as widely known as anime around the world. Though I always knew what anime & manga were because I thought it was general knowledge :S LOL! Anyway, Manga is a term used in Japan meaning "comics." So everywhere else in the world just refers to manga as "Japanese Comics."
Manga is normally what animes are based on, take Naruto for example, the current Manga is yonks infront of the anime. So I recommend you read manga if you are to eager and can't wait for the anime episode to come out, there are so many different Mangas out there which are very interesting to read and give you a different view compared to the anime. :D
