Here is a little Elma FAQ, (Frequently Asked Questions), that you should read if you are going to play Elma for the first time!

1.

What is Elma?

Elma, or Elastomania which is its real name, is a very popular 2-D motorbikegame created by Balászs Rňzsa, and was published in January 2000. The controls are simple, but you will not master the game in just a couple of days. This game is only mastered by training, training and more training. Elma is a highly addictive game, and is still growing, because people never get bored of this brilliant game! Across was the name of the first version of Elastomania.
The point of the game is to get all the apples,
and then touch the flower to get to the next level. You may also watch out for the killers.
  - Apple - Flower - Killer
Steering:

UP arrow: accelerate (this puts a constant degree of force on the rear wheel).
DOWN arrow: block both wheels.
RIGHT arrow: turn the bike clock-wise.
LEFT arrow: turn the bike anticlock-wise.
SPACE: turns your bike around so you can go in the opposite
direction.

2.
Why is Elma better than Across?

Well, there are twelve new levels, better graphics, a multiplayer option, a replay option, an lgr development kit and a lot more.

3.

Where do I get the game?

There are plenty of ways to get the game. You can download the demo version in the downloads-section of this website, which includes about 20 levels and a beginners editor, or you can order the full version for 9.95$ here

4.
Why should I get the full version?

The full version includes 54 levels, the full Editor and External Files, which means that you can play levels created by other people, and more!

5.
How do I make my own levels?

You can make your own levels by entering the Editor in the main page of Elma. In the Editor you can create polygons, apples,
killers and other Elma-features. Its hard to explain how to use the Editor, so all I can say is: "Try once and you will fail, try again and you have learnt." When you have made it, save the file and open it in External Files.

6.
What is an Lgr?

Lgrs are designs/skins on the Elma-levels. So instead of just the same old boring Lgr, you can download other Lgrs, or make your own with the Lgr Development Kit.

7.
How do I make my own Lgrs?

By downloading the Lgr Development Kit in the download-section, you can make your own Lgrs.
When you unzip the folder, click on a .pcx picture and open it in Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or any other picture-program that supports .pcx-pictures.
Edit the picture, for example: "Bridge.pcx" and modify it in your own design.
When you have modified what you want, open the "Make_Lgr.exe"-file and a file named "Noname.lgr" will appear. Rename it to your lgrs name.
Save your Lgr in the Lgr folder and you can use it in your next level!

8.
How do I save a replay?

If you want so save a replay, simply press "Save play" after finishing the level. Then, if you want to see your saved replay, open the folder named "Rec", which is next to the "Lev" and "Lgr" folders.

9.
What is an Elma team?

The Elma teams are friends, who play Elma, that have created a team. This is kind of like a clan, where they

10.
Why do I get this: "Sorry, internal error", when I try to open Lgrs/Levels/Replays?

This is probably because you do not have the newest version of Elma. You can download it here
If you have the newest version of Elma, and you still have this problem, try deleting some of the levels/replays/lgrs you do not use, and try again.

11.
When I make levels by using gravity?

When you create an apple, right-click on it, and a little screen will show up. You can choose between gravity up, gravity down, gravity left and gravity right.

12.
How do I make grass-polygons in my levels?

Open the readme.txt file and look for "Grass". Then you will get your answer.
13.
How do I take screenshots?

First, click "Options" in the Main Menu on Elastomania. Press "Configure Controls", and see what button to press to take screenshots. You can change it if you like. Then, when you want to take the screenshot, press that button, and exit Elastomania. In the Elastomania-folder you will notice that "snap"-files have appeared. These "snaps" are in the .pcx-format, and can therefore not be opened in MS Paint.
Open it in a program such as Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop, which supports .pcx-files, and convert it to .jpg, .png, .bmp, or something like that.

14.
What is a kuski?

A kuski is an advanced Elastomania player...
