Liverpool, Capital of Culture, is famous for the Arts in all its forms, and we just like to add our little bit to the festivities for 2008.
We are pleased to announce there will be at least three performances in our 52nd year.
We've just completed our adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s novel, Mort, with a triumphant three-night run from 10-12 April. Next up we have TWO productions to come over the Summer.
First up, thanks to funding from the Woolton Educational And Recreational Charity, we are able to put on a Summer Variety Show (or another more inspirational name), to showcase our comedy sketches both devised and classic, songs and whatever else takes our fancy. At least we can be the Suburb of Culture... All are welcome to get involved, especially writers, to get your piece seen on stage
We'll also be rehearsing The Real Inspector Hound, Tom Stoppard’s hilarious short play. This classic comedy play-within-a-play first featured Ronnie Barker and Richard Briers 40 years ago. Now in 2008 we need cast and crew for this production by Paul Arends. Audition nights and rehearsals are going to be on the Wednesdays from 14th May.
So, interested? Come on down to our OPEN EVENING, 8-9pm, Monday 12th May at Gateacre Chapel Hall on Sandfield Road, off Gateacre Brow. For more info call Zoran on 07977 562314
