Sobek was an orphan. His only family were his elder brother, Seth and elder sister Ankhesenamun and they were all vampires. A long time ago, tragedy struck his family. Dracula came to attack his whole family. His parents were the first to be targeted. Sobek was the only one to see their demise.
It was about midnight. Sobek was awoken by a pack of wolves howling outside his window.He curiously looked outside his window. Somewhere in the distance, he saw Dracula was with a pack of wolves. The wolves seemed to be attacking somthing, no, someone! Sobek immediately turned pale in horror and rushed to his parent’s room to seek comfort. However, they were not there! Sobek panicked as he thought to himself where his parents could be. He could come to only one conclusion after that frightening sight. The someone that was being torn apart, could it be, his parents?
Sobek went to wake his brother up, constantly trying to doubt his conclusion. He told Seth what he saw, then went to his sister’s room and did the same thing with his brother following him. Just as his sister got on to her feet, she asked Sobek what the problem was. Sobek just looked down on the floor. Ankh then turned to Seth. This time, Seth told her that Dracula was coming while looking at the door.
Dracula then barged into the room, this time without the wolves behind him. Sobek then realised that his worst nightmare was true. The wolves did kill his parents. He just went down on his knees in despair and broke down. He could hear Dracula’s sadistic laughter. Sobek then realised that if the wolves were not there, he and his siblings would not be killed. On the contrary, he realised, if he were not to die, he would have to be a vampire. Upon figuring this out, he got back on his feet , grabbed his siblings’ hand and ran to a corner of the room.
Sobek could see that Dracula was even more excited to see his cowardly behaviour. Dracula laughed even more. He started to progress on to his sister. Sobek and his brother then went between Dracula and his sister. They wanted to protect his sister. Of course, it was useless. Dracula easily swiped them off. Sobek hit the room’s wall hard and before he fainted, he saw his struggling sister being carried off by Dracula.
About an hour later, both Sobek and his brother regained onscious. He was disorientated at first but managed to find himself. He was terribly upset about the loss of his parents and sister. Sobek’s brother comforted him. His brother knew that Dracula would be back for them so he lifted Sobek up take some belongings and money and started to get away from the house.
When Sobek got out of the door, he saw his sister. He knew not whether to be happy or sad. On one hand, he was glad that he could still meet his sister; on the other hand, his sister was neither dead nor alive. Sobek saw that his sister was completely different. She no longer had a cheery look in her eyes but was instead replaced by a blood-red glow.
Without any warning, his sister grabbed his brother. She bared her two malicious, sharp canine teeth and sunk it into his brother’s neck. Sobek tried to pull his sister’s head back while pleading with her to stop her frenzy but like in Dracula’s case, it was absolutely no use. His sister then turned to meet Sobek face to face and also sucked his blood. Sobek screamed in agony as he felt the teeth puncturing the skin in his neck. He felt a burning sensation as if his whole body was on fire. He wanted to drop down on the ground and just die but his sister’s grip refused to let him do that. This was the time when he vowed to hunt down vampires if he lived, even as a vampire.

However, Sobek was too panicky. While running out of the room and down the staircase, he tripped and tumbled. He could see Seth trying to reach out for him and stop him but it was too late. He fainted.
Sobek awoke among some bushes that were prickling him. He was facing up looking at the moon. Sobek was wondering how he got there when he felt a vice-like grip tugging on his leg. He shouted in surprise and to make matters worse, he could not see who was doing that. His leg was sticking out of the other end of the bush whch blocked his view. Then, he was roughly and quickly pulled out with his back being painfully scraped across the ground. When he was out, he saw his own sister. At first, he knew not whether to be happy or sad. On one hand, he was glad that he could still meet his sister; on the other hand, his sister was now neither dead nor alive. Sobek saw that his sister was completely different. Sobek finally regained conscious. His knees and head were on the ground of an unfamiliar room. Sobek felt that something was tickling his gums. Slowly, he opened his mouth, hoping that what was in his mind was not true. His trembling hands seemed to take ages to reach his mouth. At last, it made contact with not just his teeth but also a pair of razor sharp fangs.
Sobek now knew that what he thought he was came true and howled in despair. However, that was not the worst part. Upon looking at his hand, he saw blood. Then, he quickly looked down at his shirt and it was also stained in deep red blood. He furiously shook his now tear filled face, disbelieving that he could have drank the blood of other living human beings. Sobek immediately got on his feet and looked around him. A couple of bodies were on the floor, both with scars on the neck and both totally motionless. He knew that he had done what he had never ever even dreamt of doing.
With his newly acquired strength, Sobek went on a rampage. He broke the wall with ease and just wanted some comfort, thinking of his siblings. Somewhere not so far away, Sobek could sense his sister. She seemed to be calling out to him. Exhausting all his energy, he ran at top speed towards the call, ignoring the trees and bushes that got in his way. Finally, he came to a halt at a large castle, looking very dead and deserted. He felt his sister inside it but could venture no more, being drained from all the running. Sobek fell down to the ground, barely able to keep his eyes open.
After a short while, Sobek was carried by someone with no more effort than lifting a feather. That man climbed a few flights of stairs and threw Sobek into a cell with nothing but just four steel walls and a door with a tiny opening.
