Let me tell you of the Wolves of Fenris (WoF). We are not the First Founding of this unit; no the unit you see today is the Second Founding. The First Founding ended with the death of the First Founder, Logan Grey-Wolf, who was known to most as The Old Wolf. He fell at the Battle Of The Line along with many of the members of the First Founding. Little is known of this battle that so devastated the Wolves. In fact only the Wolves themselves know the whole truth and they are in no hurry to tell anyone else of it. After the battle and the Great Loss of The Old Wolf the unit entered a period of mourning during which time they licked their wounds, took stock of their situation, regained their strength and began the process of choosing a new Founder
They returned in 3053 with a new Founder in the form of a man called Haakon Yellow-Eye who goes by the call sign Ghost Wolf. The Wolves have since renewed their Mercenaries Bonds with the newly formed Mercenaries Bonding and Review Commission (MBRC) on Outreach. The Second Founding of the Wolves is once more forging their own path in the Inner Sphere and building upon the reputation of the First Founding.
The Wolves have, on many occasions, been called savages and barbaric for their beliefs and for their attitude by some of the great houses they have fought both for and against. They are known to be a superstitious lot, hanging good luck charms and small totems upon their persons and their mechs. The layout of the unit is an odd combination of both Clan and Inner Sphere while also being completely different from both. Also rather confusing is the fact that The Wolves appear to have close ties to the Wolf Dragoons on Outreach while also holding four clans in high regards as well. However this does not seem to stop them from fighting these clans with as much zeal and passion that it would any other unit, house or clan.
The Second Founding of the Wolves is living up to the memory of the First Founding and has gained some major victories but they have suffered a few major setbacks as well. They lost almost two thirds of the Claws from the First Pack in a rear guard action to save one of their clients. The Styk Commonality had their accounts and The Wolves were asked to work pro-bono when Styk Commonality accounts had been frozen after a failed peace conference went bad and they needed evacuation off world. The WoF accepted and escorted The Styk Commonality from the failed peace conference to the spaceport. They then held the battle line against the Capellan Confederation while the Styk clients were loaded onto drop ships. These ships then made a dash for high orbit and the jump ship beyond. The WoF then staged a break out of the spaceport and made their way to their own drop ships.

I am Ghost Wolf, founder of the Wolves-of-Fenris. Winter Wolf and I, along with other members of the Wolf Guard, run this website as well as the forums for the unit. In addition The Wolves also run a dedicated server as well as a few hosted severs for WoF members and the MW4 community as a whole. My hope is to have a loose knit group of people who love playing Mechwarrior but do not wish to go to some of the extremes that some of the other Units do in terms of dedication or for those who simply do not have the time to play as much as they would like to. I play under the tag of WoF-GHOST WOLF and most of the time I will have a server running for both WoF members and all others who want to play. I'm more than willing to share any knowledge that I, or any other members of the WoF, have to offer.
On behalf of myself and the other leaders of the Unit, I would like to welcome you to our website. We accept new members not only based on skill but more importantly on attitude. Good sportsmanship and respect are highly valued in this Unit. Anyone may join by simply asking a WoF member while in a server or by registering in the Unit Forum at www.wolvesoffenris.proboards1.com . They may also send an e-mail to Ghost Wolf at brother_drrren@yahoo.com, stating their desire to join. After a request to join has been made the new recruit must register in the forums and start a new thread in the New Members section containing a message stating their desire to enlist. Once a post is made they may don the WoF tag, their rank will be Wulfen, and they will be added to the roster
