RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill.

In a lush, green meadow where time stands still.

Where the friends of man and woman do run,

When their time on earth is over and done.

 

For here, between this world and the next.

Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.

On this golden land, they wait and they play,

Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

 

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,

For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.

Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,

Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

 

They romp through the grass, without even a care,

Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.

All ears pricked forward, eyes dart from front to back,

Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

 

For just at that instant, their eyes have met;

Together again, both person and pet.

So they run to each other, these friends from long past,

The time of their parting is over at last.

 

The sadness they felt while they were apart,

Had turned into joy once more in each heart.

They embrace with a love that will last forever,

And then, side-by-side, they cross over…together.

THESE LITTLE CREATURES BROUGHT SO MUCH PLEASURE AND WILL BE VERY SADLY MISSED BUT NEVER EVER FORGOTTEN...........

 

BITZY my very first polecat hob, sadly died from chewing up a solid rubber ball & after many operations sadly could not make it

POSY my dark polecat jill who again had to be pts from bladder stones but no longer in pain

NO NAME a polecat rescue jill who suffered a terrible attack from another animal, she was only with me for one day - 05/08

 

FONZ cheeky little polecat who died from the anaesthetic when being examined for bladder stones, he was only with me for a few months (2 years old) - 05/08

 

LUCY lovely little coloured jill who sadly had to be pts

DAPHNEY pretty rescue polecat jill sadly passed away in her sleep - 08/08

 

ALICE my gorgeous cross eyed rescue albino jill, sadly had to be pts due to lymphoma but no longer in pain

WILLIAM little albino hob handed in as no longer wanted by his owners, sadly pts cause unknown

 (3 years old) 09/08

 

KODA my beautiful polecat hob sadly died in his sleep, unfortunately cause unknown, sadly missed by many

JADE sweet little rescue polecat jill sadly had to be pts, illness unknown but no longer suffering

 (1 1/2 years old) - 12/08

 

DAISY little rescue albino jill had to be pts due to lymphoma

 (2 years) - 12/08

 

JESSICA my beautiful albino jill, my very first rescue 5 years ago, will be so sadly missed by many but suffering no longer

 (7 years old)– 27/12/08

 

POOTLE my gorgeous, feisty little dark silver jill very sadly had to have the pain of bladder stones ended, but is no longer suffering

 (3 years old) – 09/01/09

 

BARNEY my lively polecat hob from my very first litter of kits 5 years ago, sadly had to have his life taken to end his suffering

BETTY such a beautiful little sandy jill who lived with myself and then moved to live with her sister Harry, suddenly became poorly and had to have her little life taken away to end the pain

PEBBLES my gorgeous, sweet little polecat jill sadly had to have her life taken away after losing so much weight due to missing Jess & a lump on her kidneys, now gone over the bridge to be back with Jessica. She will be so sadly missed, bless her

MILO my handsom "mad" silver boy, sadly died in his run with no warning at all, cause unkown, such a shock & such a sad loss

GEMMA a lovely little unwanted polecat jill I took on, only with me for a few weeks but sadly had to be pts from possible diabetes

LUCY a lovely little unwanted albino jill, came here with Gemma, sadly had to be pts due to anemia and became so weak bless her

ELSA such a beautiful polecat jill, came to me a few months ago unwanted, but sadly gave up the fight with old age, will be so sadly missed

OSCAR such a handsom, comical boy, unfortunately escaped and after hours and days of searching was never found again, now presumed over the bridge.  You will be missed by many little man

KITS 11 little kits so sadly passed away over the past 2 days.  Not strong enough to feed from Heidi their mom who was brought to me the day before she gave birth.  Such a tragic loss, bless them all

SASHA & BROOZA both my dogs had their suffering of old age ended due to arthritis and epilepsy, rescued 3 years ago, happily lived together until the end. Bless both of you, as will be very sadly missed by many.
