Class Limits: 3 horses per class in halter and 2 horses per class in Performance

Tagging your models: Please use a 3X5 Index card with the following information:

Class number and name

Horse's Name

Breed

Gender

Your 3 initials (please place your initials on the BACK of the index card :-)

It is also recommended that you place a small tag with your model's name and breed for call backs with your initials on your model so there are no model mix ups. Please make sure the initials are face down.

General Guidelines for all classes:

*Please do not use footing or bases in halter unless the model needs it to stand properly.

*Reference materials are encouraged, however, please be considerate of other showers and DO NOT use books as reference unless they are less than 5” tall and shorter than the length of the model when open.

*In performance please keep your set ups within the guidelines set by NAN.

*We will not hold halter or performance classes for a model showing in another division.

*Set up times will be set at 10 minutes for performance and 3 minutes for halter. The exception will be where there are extensive tack changes. If you have a time problem between classes let us know.

*Index cards in the OOAK/LR classes explaining why the model is collectable (i.e. Breyer SR 1 of 350) are also encouraged.  So many new LR/OOAK models are produced during the year that it becomes difficult for judges to keep track of them all.

Classes may be split or combined if the number of entries warrant and it is at the discretion on the judge to do so.

There will be a 30 minute lunch break around 12:00 pm (or as close to this as is convenient) and there will be a live auction held at this time.

Fragile models or models that are not balanced well may be laid on a towel or piece of felt.  Please stay close to ringside in order to turn your model over for the judge to inspect or else the judge reserves the right to either disregard the entry or to pick up the model him/herself to judge it.

No radios, pets, or smoking  are allowed in the show hall.  Please also, no unattended minors.  You will be held responsible for any damages incurred by allowing a child to run unattended in the show hall.  Bad sportsmanship and poor conduct will not be tolerated and may be cause for dismissal of the entrant(s) from the show hall.  Please also show only your own models or those for which the Proxy show fee has been paid.  The show cannot survive without the entry fees and donations from generous hobbiests.

The decisions of the judges are final.  If you have a question regarding your entry, please address the judge immediately after your class is pinned while the reasons for the placing is still fresh in the judge’s mind.  Never be afraid to ask why the class was placed the way it was, this is the ONLY way to correct errors and improve your model’s placing in the future.

The show staff is here to help, if you have breed questions...feel free to ask us. We will have several breed guides available on the day of the show.

The show coordinator, judges, hall, and conference center staff cannot be held responsible for loss, theft, damage, or injuries to participants, their property, or to guests.  Finally and most important… HAVE FUN!!

Lunch:  There is a special lunch option on the entry form for $18.00 a person.  This is a VERY nice lunch (no sandwiches and deli trays)  which includes your choice of entrée, one side, fresh baked bread, salad, dessert, and water or a soft drink.  Should you decline the show lunch, there are many fast food restaurants in the area within walking distance and you are still more than welcome to join us in the dining hall.

Awards:  Flats for 1’st through 3’rd in each class will be awarded.  Custom rosettes for each division champion and reserve champion are awarded.  Best in Show trophies are awarded for Halter, Performance, and Specialty Divisions.  Champions will be determined by call backs.  All horses with 1’st and 2’nd place ribbons will be called back.  Champions will be chosen from 1’st place winners and reserve champions from 2’nd place winners.  Best in Show will be determined by call backs as well.  ALL CHAMPION winners will be called back for Best in Show.

*There will be a ribbon recycling program again this year.  Please turn in any unwanted flats and/or rosettes (yeah right lol) to the show coordinator after the show.  This will help keep future show costs low!*

FRIDAY FARM TOURS:  CANCELLED.  All those attending the show are more than welcome to join us back at our farm for a meet and greet with our straight egyptian Arabians (There is NO charge for this although the horses will be expecting treats which we will provide:-)!
