MISSION

Our mission as a club is to promote geology and bonding through geological activities. Back

IN GENERAL

Throughout one semester, we usually plan for an overnight camping trip, a day trip, and a movie night. We also participate in the geology department's Bonding Night at Aurelio's Pizzeria and the Winter Party in early December, as well as the spring and fall picnics. Back

DUES

Dues are $5 a semester and can be paid to the secretary/treasurer (Carlyn Rutledge) at any time, as long as it is before a function you want to attend. Your dues will cover transportation to wherever we go and pretty much everything else the club buys for functions (picnic food, movie rentals, etc.) Back

ROCK BAGS

As a fundraiser, the club also sells rock and mineral bags for $5 each ($10 for the set) for students in Geology 110, Physical Geology, and the bags are free study aids for club members who are students in 110. Back

DAY TRIPS

For day trips, we usually visit an area of geological interest for things like caving in the Illinois Caverns, geode hunting in the nearby Warsaw Shale, or fossil hunting in quarries. Travel fees are paid for by the club. Back
