A Welcome: "The Pride of the Cumberlands"

Welcome to the home of the award-winning Middlesboro High School Bands. The shelves on the walls of the MHS band room are lined with trophies and awards of all sizes from years past, showing the long tradition of excellence in music performance. However, these awards and trophies would not have been possible without the hard work put forth from the current band members and alumni, band parents, and the directors. Putting in countless hours of hard work, these young men and women proudly represent Middlesboro High School and their community. The MHS band is truly "The Pride of the Cumberlands."

Congratulations!

The past and present directors, students, and alumni would like to congratulate a former member of the Middlesboro High School Instrumental Music Program. Mr. Bill Allred, current director of the Clovis High School (NM) Wildcat Band, was recently named as one of 50 Directors That Make A Difference by School Band & Orchestra Magazine. Mr. Allred is a 1989 graduate of Middlesboro High School and later graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. All involved with the MHS Band past and present would once again like to congratulate Mr. Allred for representing Middlesboro High School, the Middlesboro Band, and more importantly, for making a difference in the lives of our children.

For more information about Mr. Allred, his music program at Clovis High School, or to see others who made the list, just click on the link in the above article or visit www.chswildcatband.com.
