Sadly leaving the LPU, for now...
|
| I've kind of lost interesting in Linkin Park...maybe because of a change in musical tastes, or because I've never had to wait this long between albums, having just barely joined LPU in time to be a year 1 member. Maybe when LP releases it's new ablum, and if it's good, it'll spark a new interest, and of course, quite possibly a new parody project! |

12/13/04: Potential Collision Course Parody
|
| The suprisingly successful mash-up of Linkin Park and Jay-Z has been on my mind for quite awhile as something I'm not sure I'd be able to parody. However, if it is possible for me to find accapellas and instrumentals of Jay-Z songs, I might be able to make a Jay-Z/Jay-D Mash-Up of sorts, which would basically feature a mash-up of Winkin Shark and Jay-Z, however unofficial it would be. Essentially, at this point I hesiate to parody the whole mash-up, because Jay-Z's hip hop lyrical mastery just intimidates me as a parody writter. However, if I can find a midi, who knows...I might become inspired by something. But right now, whatever I do will be tennatively titled "Damage Control". Sorry for the lack of updates recently, because there really hasn't been much to update on. The "Dangerous Watters" compilation is on hold indefinately, because I have lost contact with the guitarist who said he would do all the songs. Eventually, however, I plan on releasing the "Paint" song with live guitars. I've recently re-recorded the vocals for an anime music video you can find on www.animemusicvideos.org |

4/23/04: Two albums completed-a new website possible in the near-future-new messageboard
|
Firstly, we have a new message board called the Winkin Shark Above Sea Level
http://b11.ezboard.com/bthewinkinsharkabovesealevel85581
It's free to join and you don't have to promote Winkin Shark to use the forums. The forums may be moving and improving, however-leading to my next point of news.
A friend of mine on the internet (who also happens to be the guy who was featured in the "Bowling" remix), knows someone who he is almost 100% sure will be able to offer hosting (and free with unlimited bandwidth and such, etc.) plus possibly the ability to have a PHP-Based message board hosted on it, which would of course be Ad-Free as opposed to what the current WSASL message board will be after the Gold trial ends.
On a final note, a couple of weeks or so ago I re-recorded three songs from Parody Thesis, did "Cure For The [Explitive Deleted]" to complete that album, and wrote and recorded "Bump-09", "Rhyming With You", "From My Room", and "Never Been in a Mosh Pit Before" to complete Reallyboreda. It may be a while before any other songs come out, but I'm currently trying to do some collaberations with musical artists who can help with the songs I don't have Midis for. |

I've officially rendered about 34 seconds of the 3 and a half or so minutes that the music video has to be. Here's some more screenshots. It'll be two weeks or so before I can provide more, and hopefully I'll be able to finish the music video then.

3/20/04: New Songs and Screens from Upcoming Music Video
|
The Parody Thesis tracks are completed with the songs "Kung Fu", "Points of Atrai" and "With My Stealth".
And now, for Reinstalation, the first 100% CGI music video for Winkin Shark. I've taken some screnshots from the 10 or so seconds of footage I've rendered so far out of the 3 minutes the song lasts. I doubt I'll be able to finish it by Sunday afternoon when I'll have to go back to college, then it'll be two weeks before I can come home and finish it so I'll give you some screenshots of the stuff as I make it so you'll at least get a taste of what will eventually be the finished product. It's for the song RT/10.
