About Us

The WIMLER Partnership for Social Progress, Inc. is a  small private, non-profit , non-governmental organisation initiated by the Rispens-Noel Family primarily to contribute to the development of the municipality of Bansalan. It supports projects to benefit local communities particularly women, youth and the elderly. To "Give Back" to the community where she came from is the primary reason why Leila Rispens-Noel, founder and president, set up WIMLER foundation. Leila left her hometown in 1979 to live in the Netherlands but she has not stopped supporting the local ccommunities. WIMLER generates their funding from their private funds and financial support from friends, neighbors, and small foundation in the Netherlands.

 

Mission

Our mission is to share, serve, stimulate, facilitate, and build partnership  for sustainable development .We contribute to the development and advancement of grassroots communities  through alternative approaches to socio-economic development, education, capacity building of communities and building partnership with like-minded organizations locally and internationally.

  2. We believe that sustainable development is achivevable if the communities if based on local  ownership, mutual respect and trust.
  1. We believe that entrepreneurial  projects with broad ground-level support could make a difference in the lives of the poor.

Operational Objectives

To achieve its mission, WIMLER works to:

 

  1. Support community-based self-help initiatives (e.g. microfinance and other livelihood projects) and to promote sustainable development.
  2. Provide capacity-building, development and skills training that enhance social and economic empowerment of the local communities.
  3. Help the local people to help themselves through practical application of knowledge and resources to improve their quality of life.
  4. Provide educational assistance to deserving children and youth.
  5. Provide technical assistance and consultancy services.
  6. Link locally-based organizations with external donors and to leverage funding to support various community projects but also work towards their self-sustainability by enhancing endogenous skills and resources.
  7. Promote the philosophy and principles of corporate social responsibility for the benefit of grassroots communities.
