Wilway Stud

Wilway Stud was established by Ian & Helen Wilbraham in the mid 1970s.  The aim has always been to breed versatile Appaloosas and Quarter horses for Western Performance. 

We welcome you to our stud to view past, present and future stars.  Our keen focus is to produce exceptional performance horses with correct conformation demonstrating natural balance and ability to "go slow" for pleasure, move out with reach and drive for hunter and compete successfully at Halter.  We pride ourselves on producing young stock with exceptional temperaments that adapt to training, showing and have the potential to become competitive performance horses and all-round youth and amatuer horses.

The stud is situated on 160 acres of prime grazing pastures in the Mutdapilly district (1 hr South West of Brisbane CBD). The stud is equipped with stables, round yards, exercise machine, riding and training area, spelling paddocks and large agistment paddocks and breeding facilities.  Dr Ian Wilbraham BVSc oversees the care, Veterinary treatment and breeding of his own stock in conjunction with running his mixed Veterinary Practice at Peak Crossing Veterinary Services.
