Passport to the World
(Social Studies, Geography)

Tuesdays Sept. 20 to Oct. 25 or Thursdays Sept. 22– Oct. 27

It’s back! In this fun and popular class, we are issued passports and boarding passes and “fly” to a new country each week, learning about its customs, music, foods, language, costumes, stories and much more. While visiting each country we write postcards home and take souvenir photos that we put in a keepsake album. (The girls in this picture were on a trip to England!)  This Fall Passport to the World kids will "travel" to Scotland, France, Indonesia, Russia, Spain, and Brazil.

Playbuilding and Storytelling Workshop

(Language Arts, Creative Expression)

Tuesdays Nov. 8 to Dec. 13 or Thursdays Nov. 10 to Dec. 15

Acting out and telling multicultural tales is great fun and is an important component of literacy education. Playbuilding engages the child in creating plays and encouraging imaginative expression. Performing their creation and telling stories empowers children to be comfortable speaking in public. On the last day we will have a special performance for friends and families.

SPRING 2017

Ancient Greece (History)

Tuesdays April 4 to May 9

OR

Thursdays April 6 to May 11

Create a museum of Ancient Greece as we learn about its history, mythology, and importance in our own history. This is another Wildwood course that will turn your child on to the fascination of history.

Body Science (Science)

Tuesdays May 16 to June 20

OR

Thursdays May 18 to June 22

How do our bodies work? In Body Science participants will learn about the way our bodies work experientially, creating tools and models to illustrate the functions of parts of our bodies such as the respiratory system, circulatory system, the brain, the nervous system, the immune system and the skeletal system.

"Thank you so much for all of your hard work and time you invest in creating awesome learning opportunities for our kids. You will be one of those teachers the kids talk about when they have kids as someone who created a love for learning. I am forever grateful we found you”    --Wildwood Parent

provide the conditions in which they can learn."

WILDWOODVILLE ON THE ROAD
Do you live too far away for your children

to attend Wildwoodville?
Contact me about bringing Wildwood

to your area as a 5-day camp.

*I offer free enrollment to two children in the same family

in exchange for being my "on the spot" coordinator, helping to
find the venue, contact local families and coordinate helpers.

In 2016/17, Wildwoodville traveled to:

Nanaimo

"My son has really enjoyed interacting, co-operating and learning with a diverse
group of kids, where he can both mentor and be mentored. Terry respects the kids and challenges them to explore and expand their abilities. At Wildwood, the
emphasis is on learning through doing -- forget about worksheets and reading
about the accomplishments of others.  Wildwood kids are involved!
If 'real' schools were like Wildwood, I wouldn't feel the need to homeschool."
