Back to School

Here we go , jiggedy jig. I am enrolled in the Fine Arts BFA to a Masters at http://www.academyart.edu in San Francisco.  It is a program that is entirely online! I log in a few times a day and insert my thoughts and pictures I draw, some research I conduct, and it all gets mushed around in the atmosphere and comes out in California, slick as you please.

Jove.

'Tis a good thing this school. The school is both physical and ethereal. They have campuses in San Francisco, and dorms and thousands of insane art students. I am lucky and very privileged to be able to attend this fine University.

$$$$ 4 dollar rating, its up there with state school here State U. of Michigan, credits are $675 per. I applied for FAFSA (Federal Financial Aid) and was awarded full and more, of funding. I sure could use some scholarship money.  This is an actual model wearing a "Grid Suit". It helps the artist to understand contoure lines within the shape of the body, and to be able to add form in space and volume to the drawn figure.  It is a precurser to the art of fabric depiction on the models.  My teacher likes my faces now. She thinks I am getting it. But, I am not sure what it is, yet. So I keep drawing away, spraying fixative (great for quelling dog fart o'roma) and taking some time to enjoy the process.  It is almost "Spring Break", maybe Luman and I should thumb out to a beach somewhere and live on it for a week, and scarf left over beers, do some panhandling-but I am showing my age here. Now, I hear that students fly  to a destination foreign beach that is filled to the max with writhing gyrating sweaty voluptuous bodies and bed down in a most luxurious hotel that has taken the precaution of applying for a rider on their damage liability and unnatural disaster premiums. Hey! Thats how Lou and I can redecorate! Have a major teen party and then file for total devastation. Cool.

Whats a WigglyPaw Anyhow?

January 2008-Still waiting for my DH to get the sign done...and back up.

Lou has decided to do the letters in cut out metal. We did

order OneShot paint to repaint it. The weather out here is HARSH.

Luman Carves Our WigglyPaw Sign
This is our great and wonderful sign out to the front of our farm.

You can see all the chip marks and raised lettering. The
WigglyPaw letters are hung on chains and blow all around in
the wind.  We want to put the numbers 6725 in copper directly
to the left of the word Farm.. They will oxidize and turn a nice
shade of green in time. Many people wonder about the name, and
many people just stop and stare at the sign.

I decided to help paint the sign and letters and liked the metallic
paint on fancy cars that turns different colours when you view
them from different directions.   I painted the green outlines
a remarkable holographic blue to green to blue paint. This summer
I have noticed that the paint has not lasted that well, even with
being clearcoated with enamel model paint.  Then, we were hit
with a windstorm of 55+ mph winds that blew off the letters.

December 26th, 2006 We are bringing the sign in for sanding,
repainting and coating. I think we will be using One Shot Paint
specifically made for outdoor wooden signs, and they also have
tough clear coating materials also.  I will reutilize the green to blue,
but I am thinking of doing actual gold leaf on the letters and the cloud
           outlines.

=================================================================================================================================================
A WigglyPaw is the Action of a Pugz front pawz as they are about to spring violently into action.  Wigglypaws are usually followed by Low Riders.

Miss Dottie would like to announce the fact that Low Riders are NOT pants worn by silly giggly teenage girls.  She
goes on to describe them thusly:

You must (a PUG) get most terribly excited.  You must bark, and start panting.  Then, you have to start running, and
very fastly, around in quite lopsided large circles around your loved one.  As you are zooming by, into 4th gear, you
press the faster button, and your back end lowers down and you can go way fast.  Only Pugs can do this low rider.
Low Riders enable you to quickly zoom under and through beds, around diining room tables, around flower beds.  Your mistress or master will
be laughing when they see this Pug In Action movement.  Its guaranteed to win hearts and extra goodies whenever your master/mistress describes
it to another person.
