A little about me and my passion.
My love affair,so to speak,began with this breed at a Sunday matinee.The Shaggy Dog was on the screen and I was mesmerized by that huge ball of fur.I told myself later that day, that one day I would own a dog like that.Well,I kept my promise to myself and the rest is history.As some of you well know, once you are owned by a sheepie,no other breed will do.Believe me, I tried it once,a Golden Retreiver,he was a good dog,but something was missing,so out I went and made my life whole again.Sounds crazy,I know,but this is what works for us.My family and I have been owned by sheepies for over 25 years.All of my children have been raised around these guys.They are a wonderful family pet.They are a best forever friend to you and anyone they meet.They get along well, with all animals,as you can see in some of the pictures that families have sent to me. .People have trained sheepies in a wide range of interests,herding,agility,lure coursing,therapy,the theater and some are just as happy being the nanny dog.I am also very passionate about what goes into your sheepdog,such as diet and over vaccinating,discovering both ,can cause diseases that plague our breed,such as cancer. Our puppies are raised in our home,underfoot.I sleep in the same room as the mom and her babies.The puppies are handled from day 1,and when they are old enough they get lots of socialization from children.Socialization is very important for this breed,Another endearing thought from me, would be to rescue a sheepdog if you can,they definetly will be endebted to you, for saving their life.We stay in touch with our extended families as you can see here, by pictures,I do get updates with the pictures.I do expect if for whatever reason ,you cannot keep your baby, any longer, at any age,he/she, comes home to me.Please don't get put off if I ask you questions about how the sheepdog will live with you and your family.,it is just my way of getting an idea, how our babies will be taking care of.Sheepdogs cannot be put outside and forgotten about,they love being around people and whatever is going on in the house.Also,our puppies are limited ,AKC registered,unless you are going to show your sheepie.Please read about the breed,Spend some time with one if you can.I welcome you to come meet me and my babies in person.There are 2 hard things with what I do,1-Letting them go 2-Making sure they are going to the proper home.I will be here for you,any questions,concerns or whatever,I will be here to guide you in the right direction.
