Phantom of the Opera, March 17, 1991 Toronto
Colm Wilkinson, Rebecca Caine, Byron Nease, Paul Massel (M. Firmin), Gregory Cross (M. Andre), Lyse GuÈrin (Carlotta Giudicelli), Kristina Marie Guiguet (Mme. Giry), Peter Cormican (Ubaldo Piangi), Donna Rubin (Meg Giry)
Definitely a different audio than 2/29/1992, and the sound is terrific. Wilkinson is an interesting Phantom – you either love him or hate him. However, the OCC recording is not the best judge of his performance. If you want to know what Wilkinson was like, try this one.

Gary Mauer (FINAL), Elizabeth Southard (alt) (FINAL), Jim Weitzer, John Jellison (FINAL), DC Anderson, Kim Stengel, Patti Davidson-Gorbea, John Whitney, Kate Wray.
1st gen (from DIGITAL MASTER.) Taper says: "A little more echoey than the previous night – primarily due to the lousy acoustics of the hall and the fact that our seats were in the mezz, but still very clear. This one really one of the most magical moments on stage I’ve ever seen – the last show for the Mauer/Southard husband/wife team, and they really poured their hearts into it – Mauer gets very emotional during MOTN, and Southard does the same in Wishing. No goodbye speeches were delivered, though curtain calls were taped. Final for Mauer, Southard and Jellison."
