How long was the band together? Why control played together for about 2 years, the first 9 months was spent practicing and getting ready to play live.
Did the band play any cover songs? During practice Why Control would try and cover a few different songs, 1977 by the Clash, Boredom by the Buzzcocks, and Borstal Breakout by Sham 69 and a few other popular punk tunes. At a gig at Valentino's in Chester, the band played Borstal Breakout about three times in a row for a laugh, the crowd liked it. After the gig the club manager, who must have expected a BeeGee's cover band that night, didn't want to pay us.
