Westlake High Schools Math/Science Magnet Program prepares students for the academic and career fields of math, science, engineering, and technology through rigorous instruction, relevant experiences and supportive relationships.

Magnet Programs of Study

Students select from three courses of study that have been modeled after the highest ranking college programs of study in these same areas.

    Medical Sciences                              Engineering                   Digital Media/Computer Science

Each course of study has associated extracurricular clubs and teams as well as junior and senior summer research internship opportunities available at Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition students attend monthly forums with guest speakers from college and industry on topics ranging from college planning to careers.

Colleges Attended and Recent Achievements

Students from the magnet program attend the nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard, Morehouse, Spelman, Princeton, Clemson, Georgetown, Xavier, North Carolina A & T, Yale and Georgia Tech.
