Learning Free-Page.ppsIf you have PowerPoint on your computer, you can view the link above and follow the instructions for learning to use your Veretekk Free-Pages.
If you don't have it, then here are some easy steps to follow:
1. Open a browser and type in www.yourveretekkusername.free-page.net
2. Fill in your full name, a primary email address ... complete the form
3. Feel free to play with background etc.
4. Your username should reflect the business or portal you are creating the page for
5. Always use the same password for all your free-pages (and be sure it is not one you would use for bank accounts, your veretekk back office - or anywhere that someone might access personal info)
6. Use a text editor (www.editplus.com, www.nvu.com, outlook express) to create your html code; or create your own code if you know how - put it on "notepad"
7. Paste your code into the text box
8. Click "Preview"
9. Check your links
10. Click "Create Page"
11. You will notice that the top of your page is gone; only the footing is there - this is a glitch in free-page - it will happen every time at this point (knowing this will help you keep from being frustrated by it).
12. Go back to www.yourveretekkusername.free-page.net, Scroll down and click "Edit Page"
13. Put in your username and password (if you get "invalid username or password, then "request password" and then go retrieve your email - be sure to look in your spam or bulk mail - use the password they sent you even if it is not one you recognize. This is Glitch #2 ...
14. Go back to "edit page", then enter your username and the "new" password
15. When the page comes up, you will see someone else's name, address etc. - You MUST change all this information or you may be altering someone else's site - be sure to delete their "code" and put yours back in.
16. This time, when you click "edit" all will be fixed - this 2nd glitch happens regularly, so don't be surprised!
