Welcome to White Rock Farm. We are located in beautiful and historic Ringgold, Georgia. We are in the foothills of Taylor's Ridge in Catoosa County. Home of more white chert rocks than you can count, and they continue to grow after every rain.
We are basically a hobby farm that specializes in raising and growing quaility animals and produce for consumption by our families and friends. We raise pastured broilers, eggs, fryer rabbits, and Kiko goats for the free-range meat consumer. We use no hormones, steroids, or unnecessacary chemicals in our meat production. Period. Our animals live outdoors in the fresh air and eat on quality pasture grasses for optimum, yet natural, growth. Supplemental feed is provided as well. It is as "clean" of chemicals or hormones as is practical. Captured rain water is our main watering component. We prefer the term "homegrown" rather than "organic". The latter is a government term that carries a bunch of unnecessacary burdens. We grow good food .We grow produce in season and can or freeze what we will need for future use. All fertilizers are orgainic and produced here on the farm.
In addition to harvesting what we grow, we are blessed with ample skill, opportunity and seasons for harvesting wild game, such as deer, turkey, and fishes of all types. Men are meant to be stewards of the land and proper management includes taking from it. Symbiosis, my friend.
Please drop me a line for any further information or to order any of our products for you to enjoy in your own home.
Pastured broilers are available from June-October. 8 weeks old at processing date. We sell them whole, dressed. It is up to you to cut it how you like and get it ready for the freezer. Please bring a cooler or coolers with plenty of ice on the day you come pick up your birds. Bags will be available for sale. I reccomend the biggest zip-lock you can find. Eggs are generally available year round, depending on what we need for hatching during the spring and summer.
Rabbits are kinda new to us, but we are learning fast. They will be 8 weeks old at their processing date. They will be sold whole, dressed. They can be picked up fresh, unfrozen, or if we have freezer space, they may be frozen. Be assured they are cleaned thoroughly and frozen fresh that same day. They will be available year round after the breeding stock gets established.
Kiko goats are the newest things at the farm. Our goat production is quite literally in its infancy. It will be late in the year before we have any available to sell. They are high percentage American Kiko's. AKGA registered. Wonderful meat goats and built for the North Georgia climate. The herd will be growing as nature takes its course.
You might even find one of these critters served at some of our finer restaraunts in the area. Defenitely at my restaraunt in Kennesaw, GA. Big Shanty Smokehouse. Check it out at http://www.bigshantybbq.com/
