The White Elephant Network exists solely for the purpose of connecting people with things they want to get rid of with people who want or need those items. Our goal is to eventually have groups available for all areas of the United States.
Groups can be geographic (Hamilton, VA White Elephant) or topic-based (Cross-Stitching White Elephant). If there isn't currently a group for your local area, please join the main group for your state. This is where new local groups will be announced as they are created.
If you would like to volunteer as a moderator in your area, please email elephantwhite@yahoo.com to let us know. We'll be happy to work with you to get a new group up and running!
Our rules are few and fairly basic:
1. Everything must be free. You can allow your members to pay to have items shipped, but no selling!
2. Everything must be legal.
3. No duplicate groups. If there is already an Akron, Ohio White Elephant, you can't start another one. If there is already a Superman Collecting White Elephant, you can't start another one. Of course, you are welcome to join an existing group and let us know (at elephantwhite@yahoo.com) if you'd be interested in becoming a moderator in the future.
