Fantasy Hot Rodding

The teams are already flowing in. Although over 14,000 combinations are possible there are two drivers that are showing up regularly. It seems that the final driver will be the deciding factor in winning this competition. How to play

NOrthampton 7th June 2009
Heat 1: 601, 427, 115, 3, 100, 41, 278, 303, 844

Phil Spinks took the meeting final after failing to score in the heats, the heat winners were not picked by anyone. Chris Haird scored well in the meeting and after the worst scores were dropped he became the English points champion, but in the fantasy points it was Carl Boardley who scored the most points. The top team was a combination of Haird, Hillard, Boardley, Hardie and Jamieson. There was no entrants with that selection. The winner though of the fantasy championship was very close as the top scoring teams were tied on 440, but in a tie-breaking situation the team that entered first wins. Paul 932 entered over two weeks before Team Red Top and is crowned champion.

Things have taken a change at the top Davy Elder's Slick Tyre Racing takes the lead after being near the top since the start Austin and Jamieson scoring well for him at Northampton.

JJJ is the driver to have already scoring 60 points. The best team to have would be Simpson, Hillard, Boardley, Hardie and Jamieson, picked by no-one, that would have got 216 points, so 195 is that far behind. Easter Monday Ipswich meeting to follow soon.

Martin Kingston's Just 4 Fun still leads, can he hold on for the whole series? Moving up to second from fourth is Slick Tyre Racing. All the teams have now scored. The teams that picked Thompson, Blackman, Boardley, Spinks and Hunn probably had the fastest team on paper yet these aren't racing or scoring the points, they sit in last-but-one position. Simon Donnison's IceLed.com motorsport is now last and would have last in the previous round had Team_Smith 24 entered before the Birmingham meeting!

The average score is 59.7 while the maximum score is 152 with the combination of Murray/Haird, Hillard, Pepper, Hardie and Fuller. This fantasy hot rodding may have started something read the blog's Jinxed Drivers
