Your fifth driver does not have to be from the list of drivers who have already raced in the English 2008-09 Series you can pick anyone, if you honestly believe Dave Longhurst will race for the year and score well then pick him, your final choice is a free option. It is not just English and Scottish drivers that can be picked, continental drivers like Winnie Holtmans may be picked. These groups have been selected from the current qualifying positions (Feb '09), it will not matter how the groups/points change over the year. Example Team: The Whistler's 170 Steve Thompson, 278 Colin Gomm, 85 Stu Carter, 14 Phil Spinks, 286 Steve Burgess See the teams that have already entered. How points are scored: Slightly different to the points scoring system National Hot Rods currently use drivers will score points for top 10 finishes only. Heats 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Final 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 Bonus points for a driver that has a hatrick during meeting extra 10 points. No attendance points Meetings: only qualifying rounds up to the world final will count
Entry: Pick five drivers from each group, email your team to the webmaster with your name and team name (any names deemed too rude will not be entered). Entries must be sent in by midnight 14/3/09, anything later than that will be allowed but not eligible for points for the meetings missed. This is open to drivers, mechanics and fans, one entry per person. It is free to enter and a bit fun to sit alongside the sport we love. Once the results are posted within the Fantasy Hot Rodding section they will not be amended regardless or any penalties that may be overturned. Results will be as accurate as possible and may take a few days after the meeting has taken place to appear. Prizes may be awarded to the winner if a sponsor steps in with prizes, vouchers, tickets, etc. If you can help out email this site. In the event of a tie, the team that entered first will win.
